Sure enough, Evie mouths “thanks anyway” right before she hops into the passenger seat of Jess’s little coupe.

A deep laugh from behind scares the shit out of me. I turn around to see Alex loping toward me. Sabrina must have given up her chase for today.
“What the hell was that all about?”
“Ah, you know. Just the usual for me. What are you so happy about? And why are you still here?”
“Oh, no reason. Hey, I need a favor, though.”
Of course, he does.
“Would you be interested in going to the diner later? I got Kelly to agree to a date tonight, but only if she can bring her friend.” Alex plasters on his patented puppy dog pleading look.
“You know I have plans with Zoe tonight.”
He shakes his head as a frown spreads across his face. “Damn, yeah. I forgot. I can’t believe you’re gonna get anal before me. This is so fucked up and backwards.”
“Well, you’ve created a monster. What can I say?”
“Hey.” He punches me in the chest. “You owe me, you know.”
He’s got me there.
“Maybe, but not enough to miss out on fucking a virgin ass. I’ll be your wingman tomorrow night. Best I can offer.”
He squints his blue eyes at me. “You’ve turned into a real asshole. You know that, right?”
My laugh echoes in the spring air. “You’ve been an asshole for years. What right do you have to bitch at me for doing the same thing?”
A sly smile spreads across his face. “We certainly are a pair.”
“Alex, don’t get any fucked up ideas. A group orgy sounds awesome, but I’m never going gay for you, man.”
He pushes off the car, digging for his keys in his pocket. “Whatever. One of these nights, I’ll get you drunk and horny enough that you’ll be begging for it.”
“In your dreams, bro.”
“It’ll be less weird if there’s a couple of hot pieces of T&A with us for the ride.” He walks away to his own car.
I roll my eyes and climb in to start the engine. Alex makes a valid point. He’s hinted at wanting some group action for a few months now. I’ve just been biding my time to see if he’s serious or not.
Apparently, he is.

Instead of dialing her number, I punch in Zoe’s. Maybe I can convince her to join in our little group idea tonight after all. She’s easygoing and a freak in the backseat of my car. She might definitely be into some action with me, Alex, Kelly, and her friend.
