“It might, but I know this, I want you more than I’ve ever wanted anything. And I’m not just saying that because I want to sleep with you. Even though I really do.”
She chuckled, her eyes dropping before meeting mine again. “I know.”
“How many days do we have?”
“Ten more days.”
“Spend them with me. Let me stay with you at night.”
Her eyes worked back and forth between mine. I could see the indecision on her face. I knew she wanted to say yes, but she didn’t want to be disloyal to her husband. I used what I had already in my arsenal and kissed her again, pouring everything I felt into that kiss.
I could feel her breath hitch as she finally slid her fingers up into my hair, pulling me closer. She pulled her lips from mine and rested her forehead against me. “Ten days.”
“Ten days,” I whispered.
