He carried her to the toilet, setting her carefully on her feet. When he was certain she could stand on her own, he left her there to take care of business and moved to the large soaking tub under the wide window.

He turned the water on hot and tossed in a handful of Epsom salts. The toilet flushed, and he turned back, eyeing her critically as she walked toward him. “All right?”

“Fine,” she said, her voice soft. “You?”

“Right as rain,” he said, and pressed a kiss to her hair. “I love you.”

She tilted her face up at that, streaked with makeup and still blotchy from her orgasm. And when she smiled at him, she’d never looked more beautiful. “I love you, too.”

“Come on, into the tub,” he said, and nudged her along until they were lying together in the blissfully hot water. “What do you want for dinner?”

“Anything I don’t have to cook,” she replied immediately, and he laughed.
