“Ready to go?” Nick asks me as I growl in front of the mirror in my closet.
“No,” I bark.
Stepping into the doorway of the closet, he takes in the explosion of clothes all over the floor and my unbuttoned shorts. Nope. My unable-to-be-buttoned shorts.
“Nothing fits!”
His eyes trail down my body, hovering at my extra-large boobs before landing on my swollen stomach.
A soft smile crossing his lips, he strolls over, splays his large hand over my stomach, and kisses my neck. “You popped. And you have never looked sexier.”
Ugh. Now I’m horny. Why the fuck is he so sexy?
I stomp my foot. “Damn it, Nick. Now I have nothing to wear! Everything looks ridiculous or is uncomfortable or—”
He steps behind me and wraps both of his arms around my rounded stomach. “You’re beautiful. Go lie down. I’ll find you something to wear.”
“But!”
“Go.”
His voice is so smooth and sultry it makes me lightheaded.
Extra horny now.
I walk to my bed, arms crossed over my chest, but when I get there, I do as he said and lie down.
Bed, comfy.
I close my eyes and take a few deep breaths. Then I feel his warm hand on my bare stomach and his lips in that spot just below my ear that makes me whimper. Which I do.
He slides his hand down farther and my eyes fly open. “What are you doing?”
“You need to relax. Let me help.”
Before I can say anything, his hand is inside my underwear, rubbing all the very swollen areas.
Knowing Abuelita is home, I bite my lip, trying to contain the noises I desperately want to make. His other hand slides into my hair, gently twisting the strands between his fingers. I wrap my arm around his, digging my fingers in as my body shakes.
I gasp his name, and then my body lights with pleasure, my stomach hardens, and I do my best not to scream. He leaves his hand there for a moment, then slowly pulls it out. “How do you feel now?”
“Like I want to do all kinds of naughty things to you.” I give him a steamy kiss.
He pulls away, laughing. “Unfortunately, we don’t have time for that.”
My brow furrows and my lip flips out in a pout. As usual, he leans over and gently pulls my lip between his teeth.
“Señorita, we need to get going so we can go see our baby for the first time.”
My heart melts and a twinge of excitement hits my stomach. This pregnancy hasn’t been easy on me. But I am excited to see our little human on the ultrasound for the first time. Unfortunately, it seems I’ll be going naked.
“I still have nothing to wear.”
He kisses my cheek, smiles, and stands up. He walks over to the door and grabs two big paper bags and sets them next to me. “Maternity clothes from Maia.”
I let out a breath. Damn it, she’s the best.
