“Besides, I just heard on the radio that the bridge is closed. Flooding.” She says with a shrug.
I groan as I think about my options.
“Are there any hotels close by?”
“The Andell Inn.” She says and I’m already pulling my phone out to look it up.
“But… it’s closed for renovations. It’s the offseason here and now’s the best time to do work on the hotel.” She says with a wince.
I wait while she thinks something over.
“My house is only a block over and I have a spare room. You can stay the night there if you want.” She offers.
