“Hell no! I can’t wait that long to make you my wife.”
Peyton smiles up at me sweetly.
“We’ll figure something out.” She says.
I help her to her feet as Harley demands that we come to the café so that we can all celebrate. I had plans of taking my fiancé home and to bed but I can see how excited Peyton is to share all the details and the ring with Harley and I will always do whatever I can to make her happy.
“We’ll see you in ten.” I say before I hang the phone up and help Peyton into the car.
I get in behind the wheel and lean over the console, brushing a quick kiss across her lips.
“I love you, Mrs. Ellis.:”
“I’m not Mrs. Ellis yet.” She says with a laugh.
“Just getting used to it.” I say as I start the car and head back to the café where it all started.
