“I’ll threaten anyone I have to; I brought you all of this, I opened it, and I will erase every bit of it if you so much as put one man out there before my girls are back in my arms.”
“We’ll set it up, so Dani gets her daughters and once they’re out of the way we’ll take Felix down, sir,” Agent Ross said as Luke pulled her into his arms. “What do you need to get in touch with Felix?” he added to her.
“A flash drive for the copy of the video he wants and the computer.”
Dani hacked into the server at the company and pulled it up, dubbing off the portion of it she needed without opening the file. She created a second copy of it and set up a program that would erase the copy of it once it was played and installed it all onto the flash drive, along with a back door into the system they used to open it with.
“What did you just do?” the director inquired.
“Damn, you’re better than the best,” Zack laughed watching her work. “She just set up the most genius way of getting us more information from Gaston without him knowing it. He opens the file and it’ll erase the copy leaving the original untouched and then opens up his system to us.”
“Never mess with a mama bear huh?” the one girl asked with a grin.
“Never mess with Dani for sure,” Luke answered kissing her head as they waited for Felix’s reply. He didn’t want Dani in danger, but he knew she’d never let anyone else go after the girls. She was running on anger the way she had for three years and when it faded, they’d be left with another battle to regain what they had. He just didn’t know if he’d succeed this time.

Dani made her way through the park slowly; her muscles and ribs protested every step, but she didn’t care. She wanted her babies and she wanted Felix to burn in hell. Dean could settle in with him for all she cared right now.
The chip and the flash drive were burning a hole in her pocket, and she hoped he’d show soon. She wanted it over and done. She eased her way around the last curve and waited, the tiny earpiece kept her apprised of the situation and she knew exactly where each of the agents were hidden. It was a good thing she’d gotten to be so good at lying because she needed to sell the biggest one ever very shortly.
“Right on time Danielle. I take it you have what I want?” Felix inquired coming from the other side of the curve.
“Where are my daughters, I want to see them or else this chip goes into the river,” she said boldly holding the bag out for him to see.
“You always were too smart, weren’t you Danielle? But we’ll play it your way,” Felix said nodding towards someone else.
She saw a woman step out holding the girls and she felt herself start to shake.
“Hand over the bag and you can have your girls,” Felix stated.
“The girls first,” Dani replied stepping away from the edge of the bridge.
Felix motioned for the girl to move closer towards her with the gun he held and Dani’s heart beat quicker. She walked towards the woman holding her daughters wanting it all to be finished but Felix stopped the woman beside him.
“That’s close enough…the bag…”
She tossed it midway between them and he shot her a glare. “Give me my daughters.”
“The flash drive contains the other information I need?”
“It’ll give you access to the server where the video file is; it’ll erase after you start playing it. Now give me my girls.”
“First I need to know if you’re telling me the truth Danielle.”
“I wouldn’t lie, not when you have my daughters’ lives in jeopardy. I’ve been in the hospital for four days. Dean showed up last night and I knew it had to be the watch. No one knows I left so just take the bag and go,” Dani said, and she held her breath as he shoved the woman forward.
“Pick up the bag and give it to Joelle,” Felix instructed. She bent over wincing when it sent pain throughout her battered ribcage, but she didn’t utter a sound.
“One at a time,” Felix said as they met, “One girl then the bag then the other.”
Dani braced herself as she took DJ from the woman and then handed her the bag quickly as she pulled GG into her other.
“Not so fast,” Felix laughed. “I want proof that this will erase the video and until I get it you all aren’t going anywhere.”
“Dani, stay where you are,” Agent Ross said quietly. “We have two agents just to your left, if Felix moves towards you, they’ll take him down and the ones just behind you will get you out of there.”
“You have it right there; I’m not going anywhere with you,” Dani said holding the girls against her tighter.
