“Win—” he starts, but I cut him off by placing a finger to his lips.

“Shhh, it’s fine. You got your wish, so that’s all that matters, right? I’m broken… and I don’t think anyone will want to pick up the pieces of this fucked-up head of mine.” I let out a laugh that’s so sad I feel the ache in my chest. “You can go be happy now because I’m done. If we continue down this path, then the next time, I’ll make sure no one finds me in time. I don’t have the strength to give you anymore of me. You stole my soul piece by piece and broke them all. Now I’m just this empty and hollow shell. I hope it was all worth it though.” I don’t realize tears are running down my face until he lifts his hands up to wipe them away.

He rests his forehead against mine and holds me while I cry. When I finally stop, I’m embarrassed and try to get him to leave.

“I should, um, finish cleaning myself up,” I tell him, and he helps me off the counter though he doesn’t budge from his spot. With a sigh, I go about grabbing some wipes and use them to clean the cum running down my legs.

He was almost sweet just now until he caught himself. Mason King is definitely a conundrum I don’t have the mental capacity to figure out right now.

When we’re done and we look normal again—like we didn’t just have sex—we head back outside and take our seats. We’ll be landing back in Ravenwood in a few minutes—back to real life and I hate it. Not that the mini weekend away did any good for me.

I ignore everyone as I take my seat. They definitely know what just happened with us and I don’t think I can face their judgments especially with how fucking weak I already know I am.
