Relaxing Colton was a new goal of mine. One I didn’t even know I had. I’d enjoy forcing him outside of his comfort. Opening him up to the idea of letting go and clearing his mind.

When I climbed into bed that night, the image of Colton on his knees behind the counter of my juice shop, licking my pussy, returned. Grabbing my vibrator, I was screaming his name within thirty seconds. If the thought of him going down on me wrung an orgasm out of me at a record pace, what would the reality be like? I didn’t think I’d survive it.

When I heard the buzzer the next morning, I knew I’d overslept. I flew out of bed, picking up clothes as I went. Pushing the buzzer for the intercom, I hopped into my leggings, hoping Colton took his time coming up the stairs.

I hurried into the bathroom, shutting and locking the door behind me before getting dressed. I ran a brush through my hair, throwing it into a messy bun, and brushed my teeth. Feeling marginally more awake, I opened the door. Colton stood in my kitchen, a tray of coffee and a bag of sweet-smelling baked goods on my counter.

“You stopped at Java first?” I was so grateful he had.

“I figured you might be hungry.” He shifted on his feet like he was uncomfortable with me acknowledging he’d done something nice.

I grimaced. “I overslept.”

Colton’s amused gaze swept from me to the unmade bed. I blushed. Had I put away my vibrator last night or was the bright pink silicone still visible on top of my sheets? I moved into the kitchen, hoping to distract him.

I grabbed a cup of coffee, sucking it down. It was black. Just how I like it. “How did you know?”

“Brooke told me. She said nothing sweet. You like to eat clean.”

I practically choked on the steaming liquid. “She’s right.”

I just wasn’t sure I liked Colton knowing that about me. I was pretty sure he had ideas about the kind of person I was, and eating clean and practicing yoga and meditation probably didn’t mesh with his wild-child view of me, or maybe it did. What did I know?

“I picked up pastries. I hope that’s okay.”

“This is perfect.” Grabbing a chocolate croissant, I took a large bite. Processed sugar didn’t count as eating clean, but I needed the sweetness to counter Colton standing in my kitchen so early on a Saturday morning before I’d completely woken up.

“Do you have someone working at your shop this morning?” Colton asked.

I nodded. “Kayla helps me out on the weekends.”

“You ready to go?”

“As ready as I’m going to be. Thanks for breakfast.” I hadn’t done any yoga stretches or meditation, so my mind wasn’t settled or clear, and my nerves were on edge with him in my space.

He stepped close to me, touching my cheek.

I stilled, my breath stuttering at his proximity.

“I had to know if you were still warm from bed. Your cheeks are pink.”

Shocked Colton was touching me, I repeated what I said earlier, “You woke me up.”

“I like you all rumpled.”

“Yeah?” I looked up at him from under my eyelashes, wondering what was happening.

Then he stepped back. “Where are we headed?”

“To a rose farm. It’s Lily’s family’s place. She owns the flower shop, Petals.”

“I didn’t know there was a farm that was open for visitors.” He held open the door while I grabbed my yoga mat and moved past him.

Locking the door behind us, I preceded him down the steps. “I think it’s a new thing. I heard Lily redid the gardens, and partnering with the yoga studio was a way to advertise.”

“Have you been?”
