No, he wouldn’t do that. That would be betraying my confidence. What I shared in our connection was between us. It was the ultimate trust.

I waited until my lungs burned, unable to keep myself down for another second, and cleared the surface. And I knew I wasn’t alone.

“Secret time—you are a horrible liar. I was going to let you get away with it, but Ales has other ideas.” Logan stared down at me, sitting on the edge of the tub.

“What the—Ales promised.”

Seeing Logan made me want to jump for him, but this wasn’t right. It wasn’t the way it was supposed to be. I needed Ales.

“I promised I’d return, not that I would alone.” Ales grinned wickedly and shut the door to the bedroom behind him.

“What’s happening?” I stared at both men.

“We decided you need both of us.” Logan leaned closer. “Ales might be the key to unending aether, but someone has got to bring you away from the brink of destruction. And I know you like the way I can do that.”

Ales whispered into my mind, “Neither of us wants to be without you.”

I couldn’t sense a hint of pain or jealousy from Ales. I could only feel his love through the connection. I was too focused on what this meant. I shivered. Together… both… all mine.

Logan reached for me while I put the logistics together.

He kissed my lips, feathering his tongue over my mouth greedily.

I wound my arms over his shoulders to bring him to me, but he pulled me from the water as he stood up.

“Wrap your legs around me, honey.” He deepened the kiss, and I followed his instructions.

I felt Ales’ scarred palms on my shoulder before his mouth sucked gently at the mark on my neck. “Connect to both of us, elskan mín.”

This was beyond depraved. It was terrifying and… everything I wanted. Ales’ touch made me sizzle, and burn with agony. Logan calmed the aether, easing it into perfect pleasure.

I opened my mind to them both, like I had done during the attack. Then I had been a different type of petrified. This time it was my doing, and if it went badly, then I was to blame. And then I’d lose them both, and that was my greatest fear—more than any enemy.

“Relax, honey. No one is getting hurt.” Logan tangled his tongue with mine.

I loved the way he kissed me—never tentative—eagerly taking what he wanted. I wasn’t sure why it was calming, but it was all Logan.

Ales scraped his hands down my back, and bit my shoulder again, then sucked harder. I broke Logan’s kiss, and leaned back. I wanted to know what Ales kissed like. Last night I didn’t have Logan to help control the aether, but now I could taste Ales without destroying the island.

Ales nuzzled my neck, and streaks of aether followed his touch.

“My people don’t kiss. You taught me this.”

His lips hovered over mine, sparking like the silver in his eyes, and then he slid his mouth against my lips.

It was too much… the cracks of colors, and tastes of aether overrode the sensation of his lips. It hurt more than I thought it would, singeing my nerve endings.

“Ouch.”

Ales pulled back, but Logan rubbed his beard down my chest, trailing kisses lower.

Logan chuckled in my mind. “Maybe no more kisses from Ales.”

“Sorry, elskan min… I prefer to touch you other ways instead.”

Logan let my feet slide to the ground, and Ales circled a palm down my naval, teasing it further and further down over my core. I closed my eyes when Ales bent his head down to my neck where he loved to play with his teeth.

I gripped onto Logan’s shoulders as he laved at my breasts before roughly sucking.
