"What?" Oliver breathes the word and I lick it from my lips, enjoying the way his eyes darken for me.

"You." I grin wide at him.

He blinks and then sputters, shoving me off him. “Good grief, that made my teeth ache."

I smack his ass. “Prick."

He turns back to press a kiss on my mouth. “You’re ridiculous.”

I wink at him, enjoying the light moment with my omega. “You love it."

He laughs low and husky, the sound going straight to my cock. “Of course I do. My soft, sweet alpha."

"I can get growly, if you need." I nip his lip.

He releases a quiet growl of his own and steps away from me. “Not right now. It's going to be ages before we're home. I don't need you riling us up now."

"That doesn't rile you up?" I point to where Aurora and Enzo are leaning against each other at a bookshelf, and she's grinning up at him.

"They're adorable and yes, sexy. Ugh, this is going to be rough."

He's not wrong. Having her in our home, her scent invading the place, it's a lesson in restraint. She's so perfectly tempting. And the way my pack orbits around her warms my chest.

Even my brother.

His interest has been the most surprising. The picky bastard. Though to be fair to him, he's an alpha doctor. Bait for every parent of an omega. Bait for plenty of omegas too. He always avoids them when they show up on the exchange program, staying far away from the welcome balls. It's why it took so long for them to meet.

And who can blame the omegas? Without an alpha or a pack, they have no easy way to support themselves. They have no escape from whatever pack or family they grew up in. There is little romance in our society with the OCP parading omegas around in hopes that they'll be scooped up and pawned off.

Fuck, maybe we should all leave the country and run away with Aurora. Especially if she chooses the book town. That sounds rather lovely.

Aurora suddenly appears next to me. "Have you found anything interesting yet?"

"I think I have." I’m not talking about a book though.

Based on the glint in her eye, I think she hears the double meaning in my words, but she doesn't address it, instead showing me the stack she's already gathered.

My brows raise at the eclectic mix she's chosen. She's got history, biology, romance, and a manga.

"I've watched the anime of that manga and it's amazing."

Her eyes widen. “You watch anime?"

I snort. “We all do. That's pretty much the only thing we watch. We've gotten completely addicted."

Her eyes light up. "I typically prefer manga, but I wouldn't mind watching some."

"We'll have to binge a bunch one day. Oliver especially enjoys them during his heats."

She licks her lips and clears her throat, red painting her cheeks. “Uh, I don't think I'm going to be involved in his heats, if I'm even here for one."

"We watch them as a pack in between...uh...bouts." I rub the back of my neck.

"Ah. Gotcha."

I search for a way to clear up this awkwardness. “Anyway, maybe once things settle a bit, we can all take a day that we have off and watch some."

She smiles. “I’d like that."
