"Thanks."

I scurry upstairs, needing a few moments alone to compose myself. Tonight, I'll probably have nightmares, but there's nothing I can do about it. Alphas have a lot of control over their omega children or spouses, but she can't stop my choice of bonds. I just need this to get her to back off for a little while. Just long enough to plan my escape. Whenever I figure out how to make it.

That's what I'm doing tomorrow. I'm contacting every single person I know in the organization, and then starting my plans for the secluded cottage amongst the faeries.

But tonight, I'm going to indulge in this pack and enjoy our evening together, pretending nothing else exists. Something inside me craves it. I'm feeling raw and anxious and only when I'm soaked in their scents am I comforted.

With my arms overflowing with blankets, I head back downstairs to the living room, where the guys already have snacks littering the coffee table and the L-shaped couch is buried beneath pillows and blankets.

Looks like I'm not the only omega who needs a little comfort tonight.

Oliver looks up at me from the center of the cozy pile with a grin. "Add yours to mine, we'll build a perfect little spot for all of us to snuggle into."

I toss my armful on his head with a laugh. He fights his way out of the tangle with an amused curse. The others chuckle as they watch us get to work, spreading blankets, punching pillows, smoothing bumps, until we're both satisfied. Only then do we collapse back in the corner of the couch, huddled together.

"Is it safe for us to join you two now?" Grey asks.

Oliver and I exchange a glance before I say, “I suppose."

The two alphas bundle us between them while Enzo plops himself right on top of our laps.

I grunt at his weight, but it's rather nice, grounding.

The intro theme song begins playing, and familiar characters appear on the screen, sucking me in almost immediately. Surrounded by my new friends and their wonderful scents, the stress of my family fades into the background. So does the anxiety and restlessness in my chest.

Too bad it triggers my libido though. Something I fight to ignore as they press and shift against me.

I don't remember falling asleep in the middle of them, but I wake up boiling to death. I struggle out from the pile of bodies smothering me, sweaty and frustrated.

"Shit." My underwear is soaked.

With slick.

Which only means one thing.

My cursing wakes Oliver.

"What is it, love?" He freezes, his nostrils flaring, his scent so thick it drowns out the others, only mine still competing. "Fuck."

"What's going on?" Enzo asks in a sleepy voice.

Grey stares at me. ”I think they're both in fucking heat."
