“I can hear you!” Flora exclaimed wildly.“Why can I hear you now?”

“You claimed me,”Draven replied with astonishment.

“Yeah, those bite marks look damn sexy on your neck.”

“No, Flora. Your wolf claimed me. She offered me her neck, her loyalty, and she was strong enough to sever the pack bond to my father. The Goddess deemed me worthy… I’m an Alpha now. You are my pack.”

Draven started to pace, his tail swishing anxiously behind him.

“What does that mean for us?”She really hoped she hadn’t just fucked things up. It wasn’t as if she’d had the choice. It was all Rea. Though if she’d been asked, Flora would have agreed wholeheartedly. Draven would always be the Alpha of their heart.

“It means I am either going to have to challenge my father, or we are on our own.”

Shit.

“Are you angry?”

“I could never be angry that you chose me—that you honor our bond and my wolf enough to name me as your Alpha. That sort of trust is…you’re incredible to place it in me. I only hope I can live up to the title.”

Rea stepped in front of Draven’s wolf and stopped his pacing. She nuzzled her way under his chin and into his broad chest.“You already do.”

“I can’t promise this isn’t going to get messy.”

“I’m with you no matter what.”

“Then let’s go home.”
