As she was settling down on the couch to do some thinking, Evan walked in. “Hi, sunshine. Did you finally decide to grace us with your presence?”

“I can’t help it if the two of you wore me out last night.” She giggled.

Evan leaned down and gave her a scorching kiss. “And we’ll do it again, as often as you like, baby.”

Sadie giggled again and asked, “So…what have you been doing, while I’ve been sleeping it off?”

Not wanting to upset her, but knowing he couldn’t keep information from her, Evan sat down and pulled Sadie into his lap. “I talked to the police and the DEA this morning. Unfortunately, they still don’t have any new information for us.”

“What could they be looking for, what could I have that would be worth mine and Dave’s life?”

Worried that Sadie would become overwhelmed again and afraid she would have another blackout, he tried to reassure her. “I don’t know, baby. The DEA thinks someone may have stashed drugs in your apartment without your knowledge. I have some of my men going through all of you things to see if we can find something and the DEA is checking your condo. We’ll figure this out.”

Sadie wasn’t sure she liked the idea of someone going through all of her things, but if that was the only way to end this, then she didn’t have any choice.

A knock came at the door and she got off Evan’s lap to answer it. It was her lunch, and sharing it with Evan, they ate.

Chapter Twelve

Several days later, they were no closer to a solution to the problem. Sadie was going nuts. The men had not let her out of their sight. She had not been out of the club for several days, and was being extremely bratty.

Not being able to stand the forced imprisonment, as she saw it, Sadie decided to take Rachel and go shopping. She didn’t tell her men, and was gone for several hours.

The two girls entered the club, laughing and giggling. Sadie hadn’t had this much fun in weeks, and if her ass had to pay for it, then so be it. She was a big girl and could do what she wanted.

When they got to the main room, Dave and Evan were sitting at the bar, talking to Craig. They didn’t look happy. Sadie went immediately on the defensive. “Hi, guys,” she said carefully.

“And where have you been?” Dave asked.

“Just a little shopping, I would have told you, but I couldn’t find you when we were ready to leave.” Sadie had deliberately waited until both men were busy in other parts of the club before she left, and was sure they knew it.

Rachel could see the scene that was about to come down and knowing she would have her own showdown with Craig later, decided to take her packages to Craig’s suite, where she had been staying.

“Do you know how worried we were about you?” Evan asked.

“Look, I know you have people following me and also have tracking devices on me and my car, so how could I have been in danger, and it was just a couple hours, we weren’t gone that long.” She was still on the defensive.

“And that makes it all okay?” Dave asked her as he stood up and crossed his arms over his chest. “Just because we have tracking devices and people watching you, doesn’t mean we don’t worry about you. How would you feel if we just disappeared and you didn’t know what was going on?”

“Well I didn’t think about it like that. But you knew I was okay and you could have called my phone.”

“You didn’t have your phone. It’s in the suite. Go check how many missed calls you have.”

Oh shit, she thought, I’m really in trouble now. “I’m sorry,” she said quietly.

“You could have been kidnapped again. Just because we could track you, didn’t mean we knew you were okay.” Evan looked at her.

“Couldn’t one of the goons you have following me tell you I was okay? I know better than to think I was alone. I trust that you two are going to do whatever it takes to keep me safe.”

“Sadie, this isn’t over, but I am not going to stand here and argue with you. You know what you did was very reckless and that Evan and I are not happy. Go put your things in my suite and we will be in to discuss this after we have calmed down. While you are in the suite I want you to think about what an appropriate punishment will be. If Evan and I are in the proper mood we may allow you to choose your punishment, but I wouldn’t count on it.” Dave and Evan both turned their backs to her and sat back down at the bar.

“But…I…okay fine, be that way. Nothing happened.” Sadie stamped her feet and marched to the suite, muttering to herself. “It’s just not fair, nothing happened, and I’m fine, well I will be until they punish me. I should just go and see how they feel then.”

Even though she was pissed, Sadie knew she was in the wrong and that both men were right, as usual. As for her punishment, whatever she thought of wouldn’t be good enough for them, so she might as well just give up.

Putting away her purchases and looking at the new club outfit she had bought, she decided to put it on. Maybe it would help improve the men’s moods. A bright pink halter bra, with matching microskirt and thong, which she paired with her black patent thigh-high boots. The boots had six inch heels and made her legs look killer long, and the entire outfit gave her confidence.

Deciding that since she was in Dave’s suite and had a fully stocked kitchen she would make dinner for all of them, she started spaghetti and meatballs. Might as well face her punishment with a full stomach. Finding all the ingredients she needed, she also made a salad.
