“That makes two of us,” Ford said.

“Hey,” I said, looking at Ford and then Jenner. “Neither of you has a reason to talk. I don’t see either of you in a goddamn relationship.”

“We’re definitely not denying that.” Jenner chuckled.

“But you will be,” Brett said. “Like I told Dominick, once you find the right one, they change everything. Every view you ever had, every direction you thought you were going in. That’s what James did to me”—he stared at me—“and what Kendall has done to you.” He pointed at my brothers. “You bastards are next.” And then out of nowhere, his expression dropped, and he groaned, “Oh, fuck me … not now.”

I followed his gaze, leading me to the entrance of the VIP section. “You’ve got to be fucking kidding me.”

“What’s going on?” Jenner asked.

“Daisy fucking Roy just walked in,” I said across the group.

The moment the words left my mouth, her eyes connected with mine, and a grin spread across her face.

One that told me her presence was going to be nothing but trouble.

“Play nice,” Jenner said. “I don’t care if that girl’s up to no good; you won’t stoop to her level.”

I needed the reminder because as she walked toward me, I could see her fucking claws.

“Gentlemen,” Daisy said to my brothers as she stopped in front of our couch. “Brett,” she voiced in the slyest tone. Her stare moved over to me. “Dominick.”

This girl had some fucking balls.

Not only to show up to where her sister was filming, but to also come over here and speak to me.

And to look at me with such distaste and resentment.

“Daisy,” I replied.

“How’s everyone doing this evening?” she asked.

She held her hips, exuding such confidence on her face.

Except this girl was a nobody and soon-to-be nothing and I had a front row seat to her vanishing career. One movie deal lost, followed by an endorsement. The rest, I was sure, would disappear just as fast. The final straw would be when her show didn’t renew her contract.

She’d be forced out of Hollywood.

It was only a matter of time.

And her fucking time was up.

“Why don’t you cut the bullshit and tell us what you want?” I said.

She glanced around the club as though this were her living room. “Oh, Dominick, what do you mean? Can’t a hardworking girl go out to enjoy a cocktail or two, like you’re doing with your boys?”

She was fucking poison.

“We both know that’s not why you’re here.”

She crossed her arms over her fake-as-fuck chest. “I can’t believe you listen to her. Don’t you know my sister is a compulsive liar? I would have thought you would have figured her out by now.” She scolded me by shaking her finger. “I thought you were a better lawyer than that.”

I laughed, realizing comedy was really the avenue Daisy should be pursuing. “You’re pathetic. It’s sad really.”

“What’s sad is how badly she’s manipulated you. That you’re so blinded from sleeping with her that you can’t see her motive. She’s outsmarted you.” She pointed at Brett. “And you too.” She grinned. “And now, she has you both right where she wants you.”

I had to give her credit; she was certainly creative. While sitting in that fucking house, alone, she derived scheme after scheme.

She had the goddamn brain of a psychopath.

“Is that what you tell yourself when the cancellations keep rolling in? You know, to keep fueling your narcissism?”

She smiled even wider. “My dear Dominick. Since your simple brain can’t seem to figure it out—really, I’m not surprised by that; you do earn one of the cheapest hourly rates in the business—I’ll fill you in. She’s playing you, baby.” She wiped her lips as though she’d just finished eating. “Just like I would have, but I wouldn’t have needed to suck your dick.”

I ground my teeth together. “Get the fuck out of here and stay away from Kendall.”

“Is that a threat?” Her voice softened, like she was narrating a bedtime story. “I would hate for the cameras to catch my sister’s boyfriend being hauled out of the club in handcuffs.” She twirled a piece of her hair. “But that would make for some good reality TV, wouldn’t it?”

“I’m not playing, Daisy. Leave her the fuck alone.”

She waved her hand in the air by bending just the top of her fingers. “Good to see you all.”

As she began to walk away, I looked at the group and said, “That girl is a fucking monster.”

“A raging cunt,” Brett added, and then he looked at me. “We need to keep an eye on Kendall tonight. Daisy is here to start some shit, and we can’t let it go down.”

I set my drink on the table and tore at my hair. “I’m getting her out of here.”

Brett’s hand went to my arm, stopping me from standing. “You can’t. That’ll be strike two, and production won’t let that one slide.”
