Tipping my head to the side, I smiled. “Yes. You?”

“Yeah, baby. Just talkin’ about the shit that went down.” He took the seat next to me as Mom told us to dig in. Dom picked up my plate and started to pile it with a bit of everything. He didn’t notice everyone who watched him. He didn’t notice the soft smile on my parents’ faces or when Calvin mouthed, “I told you.”

Dominic placed my food in front of me, hooked a hand to the back of my head, and drew me in for a kiss. “Eat, little mouse,” he ordered before he helped himself to food.

That was it.

I was going to kidnap this man forever.

Later, when we walked into Dominic’s home, he shut the door behind him, took my hand, and spun me back around to face him.

“You’ve been quiet. What’s wrong?”

Smiling, I shook my head. “Nothing.” Except I couldn’t stop seeing the little things he’d do for me, and each time I did, my heart grew and grew for this man in front of me.

How could I feel so much so soon?

It didn’t make sense, yet I couldn’t seem to care. I wanted to feel this way about him because he was special.

“That’s bull, Court. Did I do somethin’?”

How could he think that? My parents loved him. My brothers were infatuated with him and his stories. Of course they begged to be invited to the clubhouse. Who wouldn’t love him when Dominic could easily have you relaxed and happy around him?

He was smooth, smart, hot, and amazed me every day we spent time together. I also loved his strong belief in protection over his family.

Lifting onto my toes, I wrapped my arms around his neck. “You couldn’t do anything wrong.”

He smirked. “Don’t count on that, babe. You were yellin’ at me last week about me leavin’ my towel on the floor.”

Smiling, I rolled my eyes. “Okay, you have some flaws, but I think you’re something special.”

His arms convulsed around me. “Yeah?”

“Yes. And maybe that’s why I’ve been quiet. I don’t know if feeling this connected to you is a good thing or bad because it’s so soon, but now I don’t care. If you try to run, I’ll kidnap you.”

His laugh was loud and happy. When it slowed, he dipped to kiss my neck. “I might run just to see how this kidnappin’ plan goes.”

“I have a feeling your brothers will help me out.”

He grunted, amused. “They would, the traitors. Though, I wouldn’t fight them too much because I like bein’ around you.”

He made me smile.

He made me giddy.

He made me light.

There was just so much I felt for him. I didn’t want to call it love yet, but it was close to it.

“If you like me, does that mean you’re going to take me to bed?”

His brow rose. “I have a better idea.”

“What’s that?”

“Take your panties off, sit on the couch, and spread your legs.”

A thrill swept through me, and I shivered. “Dom.”
