“How did you do that?” I asked.

“Do what?”

I slapped my hand in the air. “Never mind,” I said. I leaned my head against the window. “Are we going to the wedding now?”

“No, Silver. No more weddings.”

I made a little groaning sound. “Oh. Why?”

“Because they are all finished. There are no more weddings to go to,” Liam said.

I turned my head towards him as we drove down the highway. “Your voice is so sexy,” I stated.

“Is it really?” Liam said with a chuckle.

“Yes.” I leaned back the cushy leather seat. “Nice,” I murmured. “Hey! We have a wedding to go to,” I yelled.

“No more weddings, Silver,” Liam said.

“No, no, no,” I insisted. “Ray’s wedding. It’s in Hawaii. Are you going?”

“I didn’t think you’d want me there,” Liam said.

“No, no, no,” I said, waving my hands in the air. “I want you. To go. Go with me, okay? Liam, will you go with me to Ray’s wedding?”

“Sure,” Liam said.

I leaned back against the window and closed my eyes. “It’ll be fun,” I said.

“I’ll make sure of it,” Liam said.

He said something else, but I could barely hear him anymore. His voice was fading and my world was spinning. But somehow, with all that going on, I suddenly felt like I was bursting with love. “Good night, babe,” I whispered.

“Good night, love.”
