“Okay.” He checks behind him, then closes the gap and touches my cheek, whispering, “Babe. I like calling you that.” A scowl forms, and he drops his hand. “Or would that be too much, considering we’re a summer fling?”
“Reid…it’s not.” I press my hand at his chest. “I’m sorry I made you think I was only using you for the experience.”
His features relax, hazel eyes intense as he regards me. “So what is it to you, Cassie? What am I to you?”
“A lot,” I admit, holding his hand. “You’re my boyfriend. You can call me any sweet word you like.”
Reid captures my mouth for a passionate kiss that makes everything fade away, and I allow myself to melt into him and not care about anyone seeing us.
