A few reporters did know who we were, I was shocked to find out, and asked us questions. One even knew all about my dad and wanted an update about his book and upcoming movie which I was happy to discuss, especially because a large portion of the proceeds were going to his organization to stop human trafficking.

Any time I could talk about my dad, I was a happy camper.

We only did a portion of the carpet, ducking out after a few minutes, pausing in the chaos to look around and admire some of our favorite athletes.

"You know I'm looking for your man Chris Hemsworth," Josh said, shielding his eyes with his hand as he took in the crowd.

I wiggled his arm. "You're my man."

"Thanks, babe. I just think it's weird karma that he's co-hosting, you know?"

It was kind of weird, and I nodded while checking out the amazing dress that a famous tennis player was rocking nearby.

After a few minutes of star-gazing, Josh returned his attention to me. "No luck. Maybe later we'll catch him."

Smiling up at him, I said, "You're so sweet. But I'm good. You're all I need."

Josh beamed at me, the sun's bright rays doing something to his baby blues, giving me a flutter of butterflies inside. Narrowing his eyes slightly, I felt something shift in him. "What are you doing tonight?" he asked me suddenly.

Scrunching up my nose, I stared at him. What on earth did that mean? "You mean after this?"

"Yeah."

I turned my head slightly, giving him a sideways glance. "Um, well, I thought I'd ride my boyfriend's big, you know, then go to sleep. Why?"

He laughed then said, "I have a better idea."

Oh, boy, now I was really confused. "You do? I thought me on top was your favorite?"

"It is. Believe me, it is." He shifted his legs and cleared his throat. "Don't make me think about that right now."

Giggling, I swatted his arm with my free hand. "Well, you're the one acting all weird."

Smiling down at me, his amused expression faded, only to be replaced by something serious, his eyes unreadable.

What was going on?

Before I could think, Josh lowered his big frame to the ground and kneeled on one bended knee before me. Clutching my chest, a strangled gasp escaped from between my lips.

"Josh..." I breathed out.

And now his grin was back as he inhaled. "Jess, um, what's your last name?"

I laughed so hard remembering back to last summer when Josh had gone down on one knee at the beach. Only that time had been a joke. And now? Be still, my beating heart. Was Josh actually proposing proposing?

"Anyway," Josh continued, his eyes so sweet and earnest, "this past year has been the happiest year of my life. You have breathed life and love into my sorry existence, and I can't imagine what my life would be like without you. God help me, I'll never have to find out."

The emotion in his voice made me tremble as my eyes began to water, and I reached out to grasp onto his hands. He swallowed hard before continuing.

"Jessica Santoro, I want you desperately. I want you to be my partner in this crazy life. Will you please do me the great honor of becoming my wife?"

Incapable of speech, I nodded.

"Give me the word, Jess," Josh pleaded, his eyes full of love.

"Yes," I squeaked out. "Yes."

He jumped up and caught me in his arms, twirling me around as our combined laughter filled the air around us. Once he set me down, we stared at each other, lost in our happiness.
