That was my answer. "What? Are you getting all shy on me now?"

"Me? God, no. I'm not shy." He suddenly rose up, ruffling his fingers through his hair. "Uh, I gotta go. I'll see you later?"

All I could do was laugh as he grabbed Magic's collar and took off, his cheeks still flaming.

"Coward," I called after him.
