Rowewhistles.“Thisis sweet!” He says. “I like the outside of your house.”

“I have a mini greenhouse too!” I tell him as we hold the groceries while walking through the gates. Sparrow went to go spend some time with her parents while Hunter gave us space to spend time together.

“I’m going to be spending some time here. I want to try growing out cactuses and shit.”

“I’ve been growing peppermint tea. Tucker says it’s healthy and calming. It helps with my progress.” I say.

“I’m glad it does, and I’ll help whenever you want. How’s that?” Rowe asks as we enter the house.

“I’ll allow it if you give me back, Coco. I miss her a lot.”

“How about if you want my dog, come over to the house?”

“So, you’re blackmailing me for my do—.” I stop talking because once we get past the foyer, I see my husband in the kitchen.

I wanted an open house so I can see everywhere so I got a loft mansion and now I don’t know if it’s a good thing or a bad thing.

“Hey Zombie dad, what are you making?” Rowe says.

“Making my wife some food.” He says as he looks at me.

Walt has his hair in a top knot while he wears a black tee shirt that’s hugging his upper body right and he’s not even flexing, but I zero in on his biceps. I see his jeans too and I hear the soft padding of his bare feet as he walks closer to me.

I haven’t seen my husband in almost a month and my entire system is going haywire. My body seems to come alive the closer he gets to me. He gestures to Rowe.

“Watch my pancakes, kid.” He tells Rowe, who walks away towards the open concept kitchen. “Don’t you have something to say to me?” Walt asks me.

“What are you doing here?” I ask, full of shock.

“Now, is that any way to greet your husband, Everie? The man that you’ve had fucked up from the moment you met him again?” He chuckles like he’s crazy. He shakes his head and wags his finger while his laughter settles. “Ahhh,” he exhales. “A fucking lovesick puppy is how I acted. Just letting my wife figure shit out by herself, as if that’s normal.”

“I don’t understand.” I say to him.

“Oh baby, you will.” He eyes me up and down slowly with lust in his eyes, coupled with anger. “You’re wearing my shirt?” He says.

I look down at my combo of shorts and his shirt, along with sneakers. “I…”

“I moved myself in OUR home, baby.”

“I’m shocked you waited this long.” I say, not sure what else to say.

“I’m shocked too that I waited this long to punish you and teach you a lesson. I’ll feed you first because we have to talk.”

“Feed me?” I repeat because I’m just so shocked that Walt is here. I missed him so much.

“Yes, I remember you told me that breakfast for dinner is your favorite.”

“When did I say that?” I ask.

“The night we first met, and you fell in love with me because I sexed you so good; you told me your deepest secrets.” Walt says, so close to me I almost drop the grocery bag I’m holding.

Walt catches it with a smirk and a cocked brow.

“I don’t. I fell in love?” I repeat, confused as ever. “What are you talking about, Walton?”

“You’re confusing the hell out of her; Zombie dad and your pancakes are going to burn if you don’t come check this shit.” Rowe says.
