“Canthisbeone of my favorite places to come to?” I ask Rowe as we munch on the food we ordered. From now on, I’m asking Rowe about the best places to eat in Glenn Royal.

“Sure,” Rowe shrugs his shoulders as he sips on his milkshake.

I smile and pull my phone out to take a short video of where we are for my reel on IG, then I switch over to a picture. I sit up in the booth switching over to tuck my feet under my butt as I pick up my milkshake taking a picture from this angle.

“Michael, take a picture with me,” I say to Rager, who’s sitting right next to me.

When we first started eating, Sparrow and Rowe didn’t start right away as they watched the way Rager ate with his boots planted on the seat while practically squatting as he shoved fries, the big pieces of the burger he ordered and practically chugging half of the shake without batting an eyelash our way.

Ragerwipes his mouth and loosens the first few buttons on the silk black dress shirt, then lifts a manicured, black polished middle finger with a smirk. I don’t smile, instead I pout, being cute, sticking my plump lips out a bit more as I take the picture.

“Has Zombie dad ever seen your posts, Everie?” Rowe asks after I post my reel and picture with Ragercaptioning it, Burgers. Chili dogs and Milkshakes w/ Papi Chulo. I see my first like and it’s Rowe.

“I’m not sure. If he has, he’s never mentioned it at all.”

“Oh.” He sports that same devilish smirk that Walt does.

“You have the same laugh and devilish smirk as Walt.” I smile widely. “Speaking of Walt, why do you call him Zombie dad? Is it cause Walt and Whit are twins practically making them sort of, both your dads?”

Rowe, Sparrow and even Moonlight, who was in a deep conversation with Tucker and Tennesse in the next booth, all look at me like there’s something I’m missing.

“Maybe you should ask Zombie Dad about that.” Rowe offers.

“Okay, will do.” I smile. “Now that we’re done eating,” I say, changing the subject because it’s not something to linger on. “Where to next, Rowe?” I look at him.

“Karaoke.” He says with no hesitation in his voice.

“Okay!”

The high that I feel from being at Karaoke has nothing to do with the weed that I smoked with Rowe, well maybe a little, but I’ve never felt so free, so myself. I cheer as Sparrow and Rowe perform Masked Wolf’s Astronaut in the Ocean. We’re in our own private karaoke room so we can be as loud as we’d like.

Tennesse and Tucker are not impressed, but they sit there like two stoic statues, and I love them for being here, even if it is to blend in with the wall and chairs.

The first song that I had to sing solo was George Michael’s Fast love pt.1; Rowe chose it for me, and he recorded it, telling me to sing it like I’m George Michael, so I did what I was told. My body moved to the song, and I didn’t lift the mic off its stand. Instead, I used the stand as if it were the one man that I’d love to perform a song for when he’s out of the mood of Everest, reveal it all to me. I smile at that as I continue singing it, dancing to it, left then right, left then right, then throwing some 90s dances in there. More on the Janet Jackson side than anyone else. The best part comes up, and I shut my eyes, lifting my hands to my head with my shades on. Stupid Cupid keeps on calling me, but I see loving in his eyes. I miss my baby. Oh yeah. I miss my baby tonight.

I turn, not wanting to show my emotions as I dance, knowing they could still hear me singing without the mic. I move my shades to the top of my head, then tuck my fingers into the band of my skirt as I turn back around, slowly dancing the rest of my emotions off.

After I finish, Moonlight goes up with Rager. They’ve bonded as well. I never have to guess it. Rager would beef someone for her too, Sparrow, as well. The verdict is still out on Rowe, but since he’s still young, Ragermight consider it.

The next selection comes on and it’s my turn again. I take the mic as I step on the mini stage they have set up in the room. JLo’s El Anillo plays, and I mouth the whole thing while dancing to it. I know that my dancing is seductive, but I don’t really care at all. Like I said, I feel so free. The song ends and I cheer along with everyone, then drag Moonlight up with me as Waiting for Tonight comes on and we sing it together.

We dance to it and I force Rager to come up as well. We all switch on partners. Me and Rager, Me with Sparrow, then Me and Moonlight again, and finally, Rowe and I.

Rowe chooses the song and passes Sparrow his phone, telling her to record it. Wham!’s Wake me up before you Go-Go plays and we sing it together. I throw my hands up singing with all my chest, knowing that I probably won’t have much of a talking voice since all I’ve been doing is singing all day, but I don’t care. I move my waist side to side as Rowe and I perform it with our chest. When the song ends, I pull Rowe into a hug. “Thank you. I haven’t had this much fun in years!” I plant a kiss on his cheek, lifting my foot up, then run off to grab my shot that we ordered.

Karaoke was fun, and I convinced everyone to join me in a private car garage. Once we get there, there are three 2023 Range Rovers. One is Candy Apple Red, the second is Sleek Black, and the third is Gold.

I turn to face Rowe, Sparrow, and Moonlight. “I just wanted to thank you guys, not just for tonight, but for being so nice to me while I’m staying with you. You really made me happy tonight. I’ve never really had this…” I pause, trying not to cry as I look up. Before I can continue, Moonlight comes closer and wraps her arms around me, giving me a hug.

“We don’t need gifts to be your friend, Everie.” She says softly. “You can trust us to always be at your shows, right, guys?”

“Hell yeah,” Rowe says.

“Absolutely.” Sparrow says with a smile on her face.

Tucker and Tennesse have mirrored smiling faces. Rager winks at me as if knowing I’d made more friends.
