“Ithoughtyousaid this was a vacation,” Walt groans as he tries to snatch my phone from my hand.

I tsk as I move my phone. “Mr. Cambridge, you said you’d watch what I love with me. You wanted me to show you more of me. This is me.”

“This is Star Wars or whatever.” Walt lightly shoves my foot with his.

This makes me chuckle. “Star Trek don’t play with me. You’re lucky I’m not making you catch up from the earlier movies.”

Walt groans as he jumps me and wraps me in his arms. “Whatever, I’m hungry.” Walt complains as he plants kisses on me.

I laugh, trying to get serious and out of his hold, but he won’t let up. “Fine, fine, I’ll feed you. Let’s order some food while we wait for dinner. How’s that?” I suggest.

“Good. Your man comes first over Star Trek.” Walt kisses me and lets me go as he sits next to me on the bed.

“Pfft. Sure, over Star Trek but never over Spock.”

“The half human one who has like zero emotions?” He asks.

I smile wide and lean over to plant a kiss on his cheek. “You were listening to me!” I explain, excited that he was.

“Of course, I was, babe. I listen to everything you’re saying, even if I don’t understand it all.”

“You’re the best boyfriend a girl could ask for, you know that, right?”

“Best Husband, too.” Walt says, smirking as he searches up what to eat on his phone.

“You just remembered that you’re married or something?” I tease him as I go back to watching my show.

“Something like that.” Walt says as he lifts my hand, kissing the palm. “Something just like that, baby. Now, explain when the hell Darth Vader comes in?”

I gasp like I’m offended. “What?” I shake my head and turn to look at Walt, grabbing his face in my hands. “Baby, I love you, you know that, right?” Walt smiles wide, but I mush his face in some more as he nods. “Good, now don’t you ever, ever, EVER confuse Star Trek and Star Wars again. You can’t be around me with that kind of confusion. It ain’t right.”

Walt rolls his eyes with a smile on his face, and I lay a couple of pecks on him, then let him go. I sit back down and once I do; Walt lays his head on my lap as he shows me the options of what to eat.

I like this normalcy with us. If I could, I would spend the rest of my life just like this. Me and Walt. Walt and me.

Walt said he wanted to have a romantic dinner and take me out on our first date, since mine didn’t count. I’m silent as I walk around the candle lit stairs from our villa all the way to this stone archway. Walt stops walking and turns me to him.

“When you said you’d marry me, did you mean it?”

“In a heartbeat.” I honestly reply. He deserves the truth.

“Heart. Beat.” Walt replies, and I look at him like he’s not making any sense. “Prove it to me.” He teases and as he walks with me, crossing over the threshold of the archway, someone sings a song that I recognize.

There’s a small band in the corner as the guy sings Jacob Banks’ Found while another person plays the beautiful violin and the other, the guitar.

“What’s going on?” I ask Walt while my eyes land on his family, Tucker, and Tini, standing on both sides of Tennesse. Everything is candlelit as the sun is setting, showing off the beauty of this place. It’s so magical and when I notice Tennesse is waiting for us in an archway, Walt’s prove it comes back to me.

By the time I look up at him, tears are filled in my eyes because I know what this is, and I’ve never been more grateful to find someone who would do this for me.

“Everest Milagros Bautista, will you do me the honor of marrying me and driving me crazy for the rest of my life?” Walt asks, as we face each other.

I nod because words are too much for me right now.

“Everie, you have to say it so that I can get this shit over with.” Tennesse says, and it causes me to chuckle while more tears fall down my face.

“Yes, Walton Disney Cambridge, I’ll marry you.”
