“Well, now. The gang’s all here.” I smiled as I signaled for the men to close the door and pointed to a chair. “Please. Have a seat as our guest.”
“I know you all remember Lucian Sky.” I smiled, folding my hands as if teaching class. “Well, we are now allies with the Sky family again.”
“Yes, we are.” Lucian smiled as he shook my hand. “Well Red, I need to get going. You want us to take him?” He nodded toward Reggie.
I shook my head. “No, someone here will take him.”
“Alright.” Lucian and his men left the room and silence followed. No one said anything. They just looked at me and then at each other and then at me again. Kent and Petey eyed Reggie but the rest seemed to avoid him. And no one was looking at the dicks on the table.
“Okay, well, I know I’ve given you a lot to think about.” I smiled, again clasping my hands as if I were teaching class. “So why don’t you all go home, get some sleep and we can talk later?”
They practically jumped into the air, unable to get out of the room quick enough. But Kent and Petey stayed behind.
“One of you can take him.”
They glanced at each other. Kent was the first to stand up and walk over to him. He gently touched Reggie’s arm and he jumped. But Kent gently eased him up out of the chair and guided him out of the room.
My father stayed seated, leaning back in his chair. He looked at Nate and then at me as a smile crept slowly across his lips.
“All hail King Addie.”
