Through the window, I can see a guard tower. Barbed wire. So many bars.

Matty’s grey world. His dues to society. His punishment.

But is it a punishment he deserves?

Or am I the one who should be punished?

Did Police Fabricate Evidence Against Matty Melgren?

I’ve always had questions about Grace Keenan’s testimony (her kid sister, Niamh was supposedly killed by Melgren in Ireland).

It made me think of that case where the guy ends up confessing to being involved in a murder he couldn’t even remember committing. All because police were able to manipulate his brain and plant false memories.

There’s this really creepy thing one of the cops says:

“We’re pretty sure you’ve been through a traumatic experience. One you’ve blocked out. We’d like to help you remember.”

Could it be something similar happened to Grace Keenan, a scared young girl who’d been through a horrifying ordeal? Who maybe identified Matty Melgren because the police effectively coached her to? And because she was so desperate to get justice for her sister– and make up for her terrible mistake?
