Ismiled at his cock and remembered clearly how it had felt inside of me. Even though this “breeding urge” as he called it had been sated, I wasn’t going to forget just how amazingly good everything had felt.

Chief nodded to us. She smirked at me, but rolled her eyes at Kaav’s naked body.
“You said I was logical, Kaav,” Chief said.
“Are you about to disprove that?” he asked, narrowing his eyes.
Was it too much to hope that she was going to be illogical by letting me skip decontamination entirely?
“No,” she said, “you were right. High Command has agreed to make use of you.”
The way she said it made me feel somewhat defensive of Kaav, because there was something in her voice—like pride—that she’d found a way to put herself in a position above this powerful alien being. They were going tomake useof him. I didn’t like that phrasing.
“A use for me?” he said, laughing and putting his big hand on his broad chest. Goddess, he looked so wonderful when he laughed. Even when it was sarcastic, condescending laughter.
She nodded. “You didn’t think I’d just keep you here because Weapons likes playing with you, did you?”
“It’s more than that,” I said, raising my voice.
Chief smiled at me. It was condescending, and I could tell it was because she thought I’d only known what being a real woman felt like for a few minutes, and how could I possibly know what I really felt yet? I couldn’t really blame her. “And it just might be more than that,” she said, “but this is new to you. Give it time, Weapons.”
“What do we get from you?” I asked, narrowing my eyes at her. “What is High Command offering?”
My priorities had radically shifted since the moment I touched his dingdong. Hypatia might be right to dismiss my feelings, but I knew them to be true. I knew that I was right to throw in my lot—and whole being—for Kaav. We were truly together now.
As far as I understood the situation, Kaav was facing the entire packshipWrathand its 10,000 inhabitants. The only thing currently keepingWrathfrom Kaav was the fact that women on Eden wouldn’t like it ifWrathattacked one of her ships. And to get Kaav, they’d have to attack one of its women too, because I wouldn’t let him go without a fight.
Still, this whole thing would work out much better if High Command simply wanted to keep Kaav safe. If they hadn’t found a good reason on their own, I’d do everything I could to give them one.
“High Command wants to use Kaav as a bargaining chip to get both Tainted Eves back,” Chef said.
I tried to scream at her, but my throat closed up. I couldn’t get any sound to come out. Kaav was laughing again.
How was he laughing? This was horrible.
I couldn’t scream, but I looked up at Chef with tears in my eyes. Then I got mad, and I lunged at her.
Just before I got her, I felt big hands pulling me back.
