“Are you at home or in your digs?”
“Do you ever actually stay at your student accommodation?”
“Then why the hell rent it?”
“Oh, I see. I mean yeah I get that.” She giggles as she talks to my sister on the phone. I don’t think I need to know the full context of this conversation because Ali’s blush and giggle is a tell-tale sign they are probably talking about Finch, and I really don’t need to think about my little sister admiring the man’s cock.
“Do you have any plans for tonight?” she asked the receiver as she sits down on the sofa next to me.
“No. Good.”
“What do you mean?”
“Max? Yeah, he’s sitting right next to me.”
“Well, what are your plans then?”
“Why can’t I say it out loud?”
She laughs out loud as she looks over at me, our eyes meet.
“I’m pretty sure your brother knows what Netflix and chill means.”
I mock vomiting, screwing up my face in disgust. I’m happy they’re together, yeah, but I don’t want to hear about that.
“Well, tell Mr Finch to go and get his best ripped jeans on.”
“I’m sure the image of your boyfriend in nothing but his black Calvin Klein’s is well and truly mesmerising, Cassy, but I’m going to need him in a shirt at least.”
Her eyes are wide as she tells my sister.
“We’re going out.”
She sends me into my room to change from what I presume is not a suitable outfit for where we are heading. I mean every time I wear my gym shorts around the house, I normally get a smile from her, a flush of her cheeks, but she’s on a mission now. She doesn’t even notice as I whip them off in the hallway. I can hear her talking on the phone again in the living room.
“I’m going to need a car. For four. I need you to go to Kyle Finch’s address and pick up him and his girlfriend.”
“Yep.”
“And then to Max Baines’ apartment. To collect him. And his baby mama.”
“Yes, you heard me correctly.”
“No, nothing to flash.”
“Hmm on second thoughts maybe a little flash. A stretch. Yeah that would be perfect.”
“Well since we’re going to hell, right?” She chuckles to herself as me and my blue balls make their way to my bedroom to change.
