There were photos?

She froze like a cornered rabbit as Penny, Charlotte, and Libby swooped in and crowded in front of the phone.

“You married Landon and didn’t tell us, H?” Char trilled.

Could a person combust from mortification?

“It just happened.”

She wracked her brain. She couldn’t remember anyone recording or taking pictures.

But she had to see for herself.

Landon had the same idea.

The girls moved aside so she and her heartthrob husband could see the screen. Madelyn’s browser was open to an online celebrity page on LookyLoo, no less. A smattering of photos and video clips of their wedding dotted a paparazzi site.

“When did this go live?” she asked, losing the opera voice.

“About an hour ago,” Madelyn answered.

What would Babs think?

Wait, Babs wouldn’t know.

She was en route to her retreat, far away from the internet.

“Despite your unique attire, you both look quite happy,” Madelyn observed.

The matchmaker wasn’t wrong.

She’d been happy—no, blissfully ecstatic.

She scanned the photos and zeroed in on a shot of Landon smiling. Shirtless and looking delectable, the pop god grinned at her as she slipped the ring onto his finger.

Audio started playing, and the attention shifted to Rowen.

“I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride.”

“I found a video of the ceremony online,” Rowen said, holding up his phone as cheering and whooping sounds came from his cell.

“We love you, Harper and Bara-lala-meow.”

She inhaled a shaky breath, recalling the drunk ballerinas and tipsy gladiators clapping and whistling as Landon gazed at her like she was the girl he’d been waiting his whole life to kiss.

She touched her chest and felt the rings through the T-shirt.

“How does getting married just happen?” Penny asked with her hand on her hip.

How was she supposed to explain it?

“Um…well…it’s complicated,” she stammered.

“We were double-dog dared,” Landon answered, standing his ground by her side.

Butterflies fluttered in her belly.

It was a repeat of the moment when Mr. Handsy wouldn’t buzz off and Landon had appeared.
