He shrugged. "What? You think I should have gotten you a refurbished model?"

She rolled her eyes at him. "You're kind of spoiled, you know. Other people make do all the time."

"But in this instance you are not one of them. This is not a bad thing."

"Okay. Thank you." She kissed him, hugging him tight. "I'm not used to letting people buy things for me."

"Get used to it." Not that he'd never bought her gifts, but now they were going public with their relationship, he did not have to limit himself to items easily explained or tucked away.

He understood better now why despite her parents' wealth, Blythe lived frugally on the not terribly impressive salary of a Travel Vlogger. She'd produced her own show on the small cable network as well. No doubt she had more disposable income now her show had gone to the large streaming service, but she still deserved to be spoiled.

Blythe's parents felt no need to give their daughter gifts now that she was an adult and living a separate life.

Unless it impressed others, they did not do it.

And he knew Blythe had a very hard time accepting the gifts given on that basis.
