Dean: You’re more excited about the cat moving in than Gil?

Jonah: Let her be excited about pussy for once too.

Morgs: No, I love that Gil will be moving in. But he’s kind of already living there, so that just makes sense, right?

Why does everybody keep saying it makes sense? The Goblet of Fire suddenly hits and makes me feel kind of woozy. Fuck, I guess there’s tequila in there. Scrap that raise for Lucy, she’s no longer getting it.

Me: Well, you’re getting me and my pussy right next door. What are you guys up to?

Morgs: Can’t wait! Meggy is trying to figure out how to make the perfect Cosmo now that Shelby is asleep, but she’s shit at it. We still have to drink all her attempts. My taste buds are so dead I don’t taste anything anymore.

Me: We just had a Goblet of fire…

Morgs: Go home Gil, you’re drunk…

Me: You realize home is now right next door to you, right?

Morgs: Hmmm, the boy next door. I like that.

O: Yeah you do

Jonah: Don’t you have enough of those?

Morgs: I guess four is enough

Dean: You guess?

Morgs: Hmhm

I put away my phone, because the letters are doing a little dance in front of my eyes. Fucking tequila. Suddenly Dean is standing in front of me, his back facing to me, and I let my head rest between his shoulder blades.

“You okay?” he asks in his deep voice, the sound of it resonating in his chest.

“Woozy. Booze.”

He chuckles. “Are you going to be good?”

“Of course I am,” I answer without the shadow of a doubt, “I’m going to be living with all the people in the world I care about. You’ll make sure I survive tonight.”

“I’ve heard the vomit is going to be blue,” Dean says as he hands me another shot. I haven’t even noticed that Lacy made them.

“That’s going to be interesting,” I say as I chug it down.

“So you’re relying on me to survive?” Dean asks before drinking his own.

“Yeah, you’ll never let anything happen to me.”

“You might wake up without your innocence intact.”

“I haven’t been innocent a day in my life.”

“Well, then there’s nothing to worry about, now isn’t there?” he asks, his bright blue eyes finding mine. He lays a hand on the small of my back, pecking my shoulder quickly before turning away from me and starting a conversation with Jonah about who’s gonna share a bathroom with me once I move in.

And so I stop worrying and let go for a while, because everything in the world seems to be right at that moment. I don’t know if it’s the booze, or the people that surround me, but I just let go of control for a while. Jesus what a fucking epic life.
