“I’ll be in Zürich for two more weeks. I’m sure you gentlemen will be able to find me,” he said.

“I’m sure we will,” Elias responded.

Something in his tone made Raphael pause, but he quickly covered and then left.

When he was gone, Elias glared at me. “What an insufferable prick,” he said.

“I’m not going to disagree,” I responded.

“I almost regret getting into business with him,” Elias said.

“I don’t,” I responded.

“But you have other considerations. Speaking of…” he said.

“I told her you wanted to meet her. She said she’d consider it,” I said.

He gave me a smile, his first genuine one in a very long while.

“She’ll consider it. Cute.”

His expression dropped, and he looked at me again.

“I hope she’s not going to be upset with you when her father gets himself killed,” he said.

I looked away for a moment, then looked at him again.

“Me too,” I finally responded.
