“Yes, Daddy,” she says in a naughty whisper.
Fuck me, I think, as the realization hits me that this little girl I married on a whim in Vegas is going to be a handful.
A delightful handful. Just as long as she remembers who’s really in charge.
Our call time the next morning is a bit later, but when the alarm goes off at 7am, I have to drag my eyes open and shake the cobwebs from my head. So much has happened in the last 24 hours and I’m not sure what to make of it.
Beside me, Savannah stretches that beautiful, lithe body of hers and looks over at me with a shy smile.
“Morning,” I say.
“Good morning,” she says, sitting up and pulling the sheet around her.
“Your head okay after all those Kir Royales last night?”
“A little bit of a headache, but I’ll take a couple aspirin. I’ll work hard today at the shoot so don’t even worry about that.”
“I have no doubts.”
“I’m going to go back to my room and take a shower. My call time is 8am.”
“Mine’s 10am.” I slide out of bed, pull my boxer briefs on and walk Savannah to the door. She’s wrapped up in my sheet and carrying her dress, undergarments, shoes and purse. “See you soon,” I say and press a kiss to her forehead.
Halfway out the door, she turns back around. “Nick?”
I pull my gaze up from the way the sheet drapes her hips like some Greek Goddess and arch a brow.
“You don’t regret last night, do you?”
“Hell, no,” I say. Her mouth curves in a smile and then she heads over to her room.
And, I can’t help but watch until she disappears inside. Back in my own room, without Savannah, it suddenly seems...lonely and too empty. She has such a sweet and vivacious presence and the moment it’s no longer there, I can feel the difference.
I’m not sure I’ll ever fully understand what made me marry someone I barely knew 24 hours, but when she just asked me if I had any regrets, I can honestly say I don’t. It’s been a whirlwind, but a very pleasurable one.
With a yawn and stretch, I hop in the shower and get ready to go take pictures of my new bride.
