When I was all the way inside her, I started moving faster and faster. She felt too amazing, and my needs and desires took over anything and everything else. The time for taking things slow had passed. I needed to find my release, I needed to be one with her. Hope was right there with me, moving with me, holding me as we slowly increased our speed. Soon, we were frantic as I moved in and out of her and she gyrated underneath me. Her legs tightened around me as she clawed her fingernails down my back. I could tell she was so close to coming.

“Yes, my love. Like that. I got you. I got you,” I cried.

“Mac,” she sighed as she went over.

I watched in wonder and amazement as she went over. I marveled at how her body responded, how she let herself be overwhelmed by it all, and she let her body just go. The moment was that much better because she kept her eyes open and locked on mine as she went over. At the feeling of her going over, of her body tightening around me I kissed her and fell as well.

Spent, I dropped down next to her and pulled her into my arms. I rolled so that I wasn’t lying on her but kept my arms around her. Letting her know, I wasn’t going to let her go. Hope put her head on my shoulder and sighed with contentment. I smiled as I felt her relax into my arms and slowly fall asleep. I was just as spent, just as tired, but I wanted to hold on to her and the moment a little while longer. It was sometime later that I followed her into slumber.

Chapter 22

Hope

“You really are a temptress,” Mac said to me as he stood over me while I laid the bed the next morning. It was early in the morning. Mac had a meeting he had to get to though both of us were extremely reluctant for him to leave my apartment much less my bedroom.

“What?” I asked and stretched my arms over my head.

As I did, the sheet that was covering my breasts fell away, exposing the upper part of my body to Mac. I watched as his eyes almost crossed at seeing my breast on full display for him.

“How do you expect me to leave you when you look like that? It isn’t fair,” he grumbled.

“I just want to give you a preview of what you could be coming back for. That is if you want to come back?” I asked.

“That’s it. I’m canceling the meeting. Harrington’s Vineyards can wait until next year to see me,” Mac said and started to take off his shirt.

“Don’t you dare. Though I’m going to smile at the thought of you even thinking about doing that all day today. I will see you tonight. You promised me dinner and a movie, I’m holding you to it,” I said as I rolled towards him.

Mac eyed my ass that was on full display for him and took a deep breath before he said. “I will, as long as you promise to hold other things to me, afterwards.”

“Deal. Now get out of here. I’m going to go back to sleep,” I said and started to roll over.

Mac let out a frustrated groan as he stomped out of my bedroom like a kid who didn’t want to go to school. I couldn’t keep the smile off my face as I heard him quietly close the door as he left. With a content sigh, I rolled onto my back and put my hands behind my back.

I might have wanted to go back to sleep, but there was no way I would. My mind was too full of my evening with Mac. I knew I should get up and do some work on my novel, but it wasn’t going to happen until I called Faith and told her everything.

“An early morning call, that isn’t a good sign,” Faith said as she answered the phone.

“Actually, Mac just left. He had an early meeting and he had to go home and change before going in.”

“Mac just left? He had to go home and change? Are you saying he slept over? I’m going to assume it wasn’t so that you two could play a late-night game of Monopoly. Though I would imagine he might be very good at that game.”

“I have no idea, but he’s very good at other things,” I admitted

“Hope! You did not just say that. I’m shocked! Happy, but shocked. What has gotten into you?” Faith asked with a laugh. “Never mind, I already know.”

“Faith!” I said but couldn't help giggling.

“What? You started it! And I hope that Mac ended it,” Faith said with another laugh.

“You’re incorrigible,” I said, smiling.

“You wouldn’t have called me if you didn’t want to tell me about it, So, spill it, what happened? How did it go?”

“Wonderful, incredible, without a doubt the best night of my life.”

“Well, and here I was worried that you two wouldn’t get along,” Faith muttered.

“Whatever, you’ve been rooting for us for years, you just didn’t want to tell me.”
