Charlie’s expression was utter shock, and Andrea could see her friend try and find a way to back out of it before Luke tried to reassure her.

“Don’t worry about the media, Charlie. They know better than to chance their arm with my da, and if they behave, I always pose for a picture or two. We will close to the general public, considering a few of my sister’s band will probably rock up.”

Well, that wasn’t exactly what Andrea had in mind when she accepted Luke’s offer for drinks. “Oh, you didn’t say that the band might be there.”

“That an issue?”

“Nope. No problem at all.” Yeah, right...

Luke grinned, devilment in his eyes. “Excellent, and don’t worry about the band, Andi, I’ll keep ya dancing all night if you want.” Luke winked, flirting with her. Andrea was totally down for spending a night dancing with the handsome F1 driver even if Charlie was giving her an amused look. And Andrea told Charlie her plans the moment Luke had left the room.

“I think you and Luke will make a fine dancing pair but Andi, using him to make the rock god jealous is not going to work.”

“Why the hell not?” Oh gossip...did Charlie know something she didn’t about the guy all the media loved.

“Not my story to tell. But if you think hard about it, you’ll figure it out.”

Andrea played out every scenario in her mind until she was reminded of another handsome man who was keeping his true self hidden from the media and it was a damn shame.

“Well damn, that’s a waste. But we could totally set him up with JJ.”

“I already mentioned it days ago.”

It was good to know her and Charlie were still on the same page.

They both chuckled and turned their attention to other topics, discussing Quinn’s new race manager, some Rebel PR stuff, and then Charlie convinced Andi to come stay over at hers for the weekend before their plans turned to Christmas. Considering it was Charlie’s first Christmas without her dad, Andrea wanted to make sure that her best friend wasn’t alone so when Charlie suggested one of their causal Manchester dinners, Andrea was quick to agree.

“Sounds like a plan. My parents are heading to Spain and Rhys will be with his bandmates.... unless you want to see if he who shall not be named wants to spend Christmas with you?”

“Hell, no. Unless you want to get cosy with the rock god?” Charlotte shot back.

“I’d rather drink paint thinner.” Andrea drawled then laughed.

They were still laughing when Luke showed up at the door again. “I forgot to mention, ladies, it’s casual dress in the pub. We aren’t that upmarket. Everyone is expected to arrive around nine so anything around then is grand.” His phone rang, interrupting them, and gave a grumbled response before he hung up and said. “Ah, so that’s sorted. Quinn is getting collected around nine by Noah so he is more than happy to pick you gals up. Just like one big happy family.”

Luke slipped from the room as Andrea glanced at Charlie, saw the pained expression on her face before she offered Andrea a smile and told her to be at her house for drinks before this nightmare began to unfold. If Andrea hadn’t been so worried about Charlie being in the same room with Noah, then she might have stressed herself out about being in the same room with the rock god and his ego...

There wasn’t enough alcohol in Ireland to make this go smoothly...
