Chapter Ten

Ryan

“Maybe on the bed. Just...more comfortable.” Honestly, she could sit on my lap all night, but I also knew that the longer she sat here, the more uncomfortable—needy—I was getting.

And as badly as my cock wanted it, I was not taking Savannah tonight.

“Oh, okay.” For the first time since she took rein of her feelings, she dropped her eyes.

“None of that, Sav,” I said softly, and she brought her eyes back up and smiled slightly. “I just want to stretch out. And thought it would be easier to watch and explain over there.”

An image of the two of us in bed, sans clothes, flashed across my mind, and my cock twitched in anticipation.

Okay, so maybe not the best course of action, but I’d already committed, so I was following through.

With a hand in hers and my other on her hip, I guided Savannah off me and when I stood after dropping her hand, I couldn’t help but grimace at the tightness of my lap. I didn’t miss when Savannah lowered her eyes and the fast blush that decorated her cheeks, before she turned away, leading the way to the bed.

Yeah.

Sweatpants weren’t the most ideal in my current situation.

Nothing I could do about it now.

I grabbed my phone from the table and followed behind her.

Savannah settled on the left side of the bed, adjusting her pillow so it supported her back as she sat against the headboard. I moved to my side and took up residence beside her, bringing my knee up to try and relieve some of the tent action happening because of my erection.

With my phone in hand, I reopened the video I’d been studying before Savannah surprised the hell out of me.

I couldn’t believe she kissed me!

Hell, I’d be thinking about that kiss for the rest of my life.

“If I know you at all,” I started to say, scrolling through the episode, “you shut everything off after I told Bella...after what I said.”

Savannah shifted but didn’t answer.

“Which means you missed something. Something I didn’t realize would be put in the show, but I guess it’s probably a good marketing piece.” I was a little pissed at being a ploy for ratings, but I also was grateful that they caught it and put it in the final cut.

I moved the streaming cursor to just after the-day-that-shall-not-be-named, when the show cut to a scene where the camera was focused on a closed door, but my voice could be heard.

“You ready?” I looked down at her and while her eyes were fixed on my phone, she nodded.

“As ready as I’ll ever be.”

I pressed the triangle in the middle of the screen and moved the phone so it was more between us, and held down the volume button to turn it all the way up.

The sound of a ringing phone was cut off by a muffled, “Hello?”

“How is she?” My voice carried through the closed door. I was speaking low to try and not be overheard, but in a place that was set up with microphones in every corner, it was almost pointless.

There wasn’t any sound for a pause, other than what sounded like me rearranging my stance, leaving the watcher to assume I was standing behind the door.

“She’s...good.”

“That’s Mitch’s voice.” Savannah’s tone was confused and I glanced at her to see her brows furrowed.

“Shh.”
