“Now that you’re fed and presents opened, you need to go home and get your suits and come right back to get ready,” Briar claps her hands to get their attention.

“Yes, Mom,” Tristan snorts.

“Tristan Hedgecock,” I snap at him.

“What? Well she is. She’s like a den mother, even though I’m older,” Tristan kisses her cheek and heads out the door. All I do is glare at the door he just walked out of.

“Let it go, King. Caleb, make sure to grab your bag for tomorrow,” Briar latches on to my arm.

“See you guys in a bit,” Caleb says as he and Holden follow Tristan out and Thorn goes to his room.

I watch her pour another cup of coffee and walk out to the terrace. It gives me a chance to study her for a bit, the way she moves, the way she breathes. She’s so stunning.

I’m still watching her as she turns around and looks at me with fear in her eyes and that has me moving to her side.

“Kingston, he’s here,” she whispers to me and I start to look over the railing.

I don’t have to ask her who he is. Lane is here.

“Where?”

“He was just down by the pool, watching me,” she sniffs.

I call the front desk and tell them to have security find Lane and then I call Hayes. Lane is stalking us, and it needs to stop. Problem is that when Hayes gets here, he’s gone.

“Police are on their way. Hopefully, security will catch him,” I tell her as I hang up and hold out my arms to her.

“I’m not scared, I have you,” she steps into my arms and I engulf her in a big embrace, savoring that she’s still here and that she’s mine. Nothing will hurt her.

“I will always keep you safe,” I tell her, kissing the top of her head.

“I know,” she kisses my chest and burrows in.

After holding her for a while, I push back so she can see my face, “The guys will be back in a bit, we should get ready.”

She goes into the closet as I take a quick shower. I haven’t seen her dress yet, and I can’t wait.
