“Yeah, Sal wants to have a lunch date and then an elimination at night. I’ll get to see the contestants later.” I wave off everything as if I don’t care, but I do.

I really don’t want to see him lust after someone else—man or woman.

“I was hoping we could spend some time together,” Ever says, rubbing her belly.

“I’d like that,” I tell her. No doubt, she wants to grill me about dating her dad—if that’s what we’re doing is called.

“Snow, you ready?” Shane pokes his head out the back door.

“Yeah. See you guys in a little bit.” I point at all of them playfully, narrowing my eyes. “Try to be nice.”

“Who? Us?” Skye smirks. “We’re always nice.”

Laughing as they walk away, I head to the kitchen. I might not like this situation, but I will make the most of it.

Or try to, at least.
