It made me wonder.

Commander Nix had taken Strohass’ place, chosen by Vakarrans far away. He hadn’t earned his place either. He had a lot of rich friends and felt entitled to everything, especially other men’s women. It was sickening. I hated him, and I hardly even knew him, but because of his rank, I was forced to bow to him like he was our king. Fucking disgusting.

It didn’t stop me from sneering behind his back.

My group, the second battalion, was battle hardened. We’d bled on the battlefield. Hell, I even wore the marks of a fucking Drugan on my face, an odd humanoid alien species that transformed into massive dragons at will. Now that, I remembered, was a battle hard won. I touched my cheek, feeling the hollows where the claws had sliced it open.

It was long healed now, but I bore the scars with pride.

I’d earned my rank in the Vakarran military. Nix? Not so much. He’d probably wet himself if he ever ventured into a single battle. Now that would be a sight to see. I smirked. Even I knew that would never happen, but I kind of wished it would. It would certainly take him down a few pegs.

I crossed my arms over my chest, looking back toward Alaina, thinking, planning. What the hell were we going to do with her?

“I have an idea. We’ll have to go to the training camp to retrieve one of their all-terrain vehicles. Then we could travel back to where that abandoned human city is. What did they call it?” Morgn said.

“Atlanta, I think,” Aarom replied, his voice low so that he wouldn’t disturb her.

“We’ll get disbarred if we don’t report to Nix, right away,” Davon said worriedly.

He was right, I knew this. What would we do? What could we do? We had to report her to our superiors, but maybe, we could delay traveling back to the ISS Starrider for a bit. Train her to obey us, for her own safety. Maybe. It could work.

I looked back at her for a long moment, taking in the sweet curves of her body, the soft look on her face and something inside me cracked.

No. It had to work.

“We’ll do this. We’ll go to the female processing center and gather supplies. Then we’ll travel to Atlanta, where our ship is currently stored on the outskirts anyway. We’ll take over a building there. Train her. Maybe it’ll blow over and Nix will forget about her,” I offered.

Aarom met my gaze and nodded slightly. As our resident intel and strategist, his approval meant a lot to me.

“So, a delaying strategy then? Maybe Nix will get bored if he sees her meek and trained, claimed by us, and set his eyes on another woman instead?” Morgn mused, scratching his chin. “I could have fun with that. It’s been a while since I’ve broken a human anyway. Alaina seems like a challenge. But I bet we could do it. We can break her, all of us, together,” he smirked, his tone dropping dangerously low.

Morgn reached into his pocket. I saw a large metal collar in his hand and a leash.

He met my eyes, the serious look in his expression causing me to tense a bit.

“It’ll be better for her if we’re harsh with her from the start. Teach her that she isn’t allowed to deny us, that she’s expected to obey, no matter the cost,” he continued, moving toward Aarom. His hands disappeared underneath her blonde mane, clipping the round steel collar into place. Locking it around her throat.

“She’s had enough rest. It won’t do for the other humans to see her carried into the training camp. The Vakarrans there would probably report us unfit for human training if they saw us do that, Aarom,” I commanded.

He sighed and gently deposited her on the ground. I watched her blue eyes gradually open, looking at each one of us. For a quick second, I glimpsed fear, but then it transformed into something different. Strength. Courage. Bravery, all mixed into one.

She was definitely going to be a challenge.

Her eyes were captivating, a darker blue than my own eyes, like a sapphire gemstone or Earth’s deep blue ocean. Her jaw clenched as she caught my gaze. Feisty.

Aarom gently took her feet into his hands and put her shoes back on. Her skin was delicate. It wouldn’t survive the journey without such things.

Most Vakarrans had copper-colored eyes, but I didn’t. Some sort of genetic mutation, scientists had said. A single allele that masked the copper color, so rare that it hadn’t been seen more than one in several hundred million.

I could tell they unnerved her.

Good. She needed to learn her place.

I knelt before her and lifted her chin, watching the way her skin sparkled on the places where our seed had marked her.

It was as if her skin had soaked most of it up, like a lotion. Interesting. I touched her, and she recoiled away from me, but I didn’t let that deter me. Even her hair glistened where our cum had fallen.

I wondered what it meant. Her skin was soft, even more so where it glittered. Her nipples hardened as I studied her. She pressed her thighs together, trying to hide her wetness, but it was too late. I’d already seen it.
