“There’s some things I have to tell you,” I began, leading her to a small private seating room close by. I launched into the story of my abduction, how I’d fallen in love with my captors and how I’d come in contact with Prince Radock. I told her about how he hacked the system and purchased me, when he was never my match in the first place. When I was finished, Lea looked horrified.

“Wow. I’m so sorry, Mya. I’m happy you got away, but Vakarrans? Four of them? Really?” she asked.

“I know, it seems crazy, but I love them. They’re different from the ones on the news. Don’t get me wrong, they’re stern and expect obedience, but I like it. I love them all, each and every one of them,” I replied.

We talked for hours before my Vakarrans came for me. Each one of them was cordial, shaking Lea’s hand and welcoming her aboard. After a short while of introductions, we showed her a small personal-sized bedroom of her own.

Biran told her to decorate it however she wanted.

She squealed with glee and ran off to design something involving a shit ton of pink, I was sure of it.

Only when we went to leave her to it, and they looked at me, did their eyes burn with dark seduction. They wanted me and only me, that much was clear.

“What are we going to do now? Are you going to take more jobs to make back the money, so you can buy a home?” I asked quietly.

“No, I don’t think so. I’ve been researching Earth and I’ve come across something extremely interesting,” Dex replied.

“What is it?” Talor asked.

“The files were hidden, deep in the dark web, but I found them. Whispers of a growing resistance. A group of Vakarrans abandoned the Starrider, took a human as their own. Know anything about the city of Atlanta, Mya?”

“Seriously?” Ejan asked.

“They’re looking for support, for the strength of those wronged by the Vakarran military, and especially though of us unfairly exiled by their superiors. They’ve called for any and all ships that can join their cause,” Dex replied.

All four of them were quiet for a long moment, looking to each other and judging whether or not it was safe to proceed.

But this was my home, a chance to take back our planet.

“We’re going,” I said boldly.

All four of them stared at me, but I held Talor’s gaze with my own. He was their leader and we’d only go if he agreed to it.

His eyes blazed, assessing mine. His lips tensed in a thin line and he sighed.

“Fuck it. Let’s stop by the Underground to pick up some extra artillery. Then, we set course for Atlanta.”

I grinned. With my Vakarrans at my side, I had no doubt Earth would be ours once more. It was time for the conquered to fight back.

The End
