Lexie

ListeningtoNavrecount the details of his past was more than Lexie could have imagined. She knew Nav’s relationship with his father was always strained, but assumed it had more to do with the abandonment than it had to do with the utter bullshit he did to Nav all those years ago. She felt sick to her stomach knowing that she paid so little attention to what was going on in his life. She knew he was right--she had no regrets when it came to finding and falling in love with Oliver.

But the prospect of a second chance with Nav confused her. She definitely wanted to explore their friendship, but couldn’t remember what their friendship was even like without the intimacy between them.

They swam out together to another reef, this time allowing themselves to pull together as they ducked under the water observing all the schools of fish and colorful reefs around them. She was finally getting the hang of the breathing tube but found herself tiring out pretty quick due to the heat of the sun and the continued motions of trying to stay afloat. They both bobbed out of the water at the same time, swimming back to shore. As they collapsed in a new heap of sand, Lexie turned to Nav. “So how much exploring did you do this morning?”

He glanced across the beach around them, which twisted around the island. “Part of it is gated off, so I didn’t go too far, but there’s another trail that way.” He paused as he pointed up to the right behind them. “We can check it out if you’d like?”

She nodded and reached behind her back, attempting to unzip herself, feeling warm from the tight black fabric against her skin. He motioned for her to turn around and she did, moving her hair to allow him access to the zipper. He hesitated for a moment before resting his hand on her back and tugging down the zipper. It went all the way down to the top of her bikini bottoms. She could still sense his presence behind her, but it wasn’t until she felt the roughness of his calloused hands against her smooth back that she realized just how close he was. She found herself leaning into his touch, wanting more of it. His hands draped down her shoulders as he pushed the wetsuit off her body. Lexie reached to meet his hand, allowing their fingertips to brush together as she grasped the wetsuit and yanked it down the front of her. She turned around to face Nav and watched as his eyes danced down the front of her and quickly snapped back to her face. She chuckled. “Thank you. Let me help you.”

Nav shook his head. “Nah, I got it.” She watched as he reached his hand behind his back and danced around struggling to grip the tiny zipper in his large hands. He finally pursed his lips and turned around placing his back toward her. “Okay fine, I don’t got it.”

She laughed and shook her head. Quickly locating the zipper with her shaky hands, she yanked the zipper down and Nav’s tanned skin poked out behind the material. The freckles that lined his back showed the life of a man who loved to be outside. She followed the motions Nav took and slid her hands up his back, fighting the goosebumps growing across her own arms as their skin connected. He quickly turned around to face her and pulled the wetsuit down off his arms, staring down at the sand as he did.

“So, I gotta ask. How much do you remember from last night?”

She stared at him for a moment, unsure if she wanted to admit she didn’t remember much. Then again, it would probably be beneficial to know if she did something stupid. “Well, to be honest, I remember hopping into the hot tub and that’s about it. Is there something I should know?” Her cheeks flushed red and Nav looked at her shaking his head. At least there was a smile spreading from cheek to cheek as he did so.

“Well, I’m not really one to kiss and tell...” He winked at her and as he did her soul melted then and there. Surely she’d remember if they had kissed!? He took several steps toward the concrete stairs.

“Wait, kissed? Are you saying we kissed?” She quickened her pace and walked alongside him.

He stopped suddenly and turned to face her with the same smile still there. “I’m really disappointed that I’m not more memorable to you.” He continued to walk, but as he approached the stairs, Lexie reached out and grabbed his arm. He spun around to face her and took a step closer. His free hand reached up to tuck a loose hair behind her ear. “We could have a sober redo if you’d like.”

His face was so close she could smell the cinnamon on his breath mixed with the salt and sweat coating his skin. Before she could respond, the warmth of his lips was on hers. As the butterflies flitted around her stomach, the wetness of her pleasure dripped against her suit. She pushed back against him, opening her mouth and her heart to more of Nav Thomas. She wrapped her arms around his neck and he lifted her off the sand, pulling her tightly against him. She could feel the strength of his cock against the pool of heat forming within herself. They pulled away at the same time and Nav dove to her neck, leaving a trail of kisses up to her ear. “Now that was a kiss worth remembering,” he whispered.

A shudder ran through her spine as he released her and turned back toward the walking path. She was left in a swirl of emotions, unsure of how she was feeling or what she wanted to happen next. But one thing she knew for sure- the smile on her face was as real as it could get.
