I lean down my head and press a kiss against her shoulder.

“And I am sorry too, Jaan.”

She stares at my face blankly.

“For hurting you by asking for a Divorce. I found no other way to open your eyes and make you cancel your decision of leaving me and Aarvi. This was the only way I could think of. I am sorry.”

She presses her finger on my lips.

“You don’t need to apologize, Aarav. As somehow your plan did serve its purpose. I couldn’t have realized how much I wanted this life with you if you hadn’t asked for a Divorce.”

I sigh in relief.

“Then let’s stop blaming each other for every damn thing. Let bygones be bygones & now let’s concentrate on our lifetogether.”

By the look on her face, I know she feels proud of me that just like her, I also thought from her perspective over her previous decisions. That’s what couples do. They understand each other and if they can’t, they try harder.

Her dove-eyes look at me as she wraps her arms around my neck, and gives me a smile.

“Where is Aarvi?” I ask to manipulate how much time we had to kiss again without any intervention. Though I don’t want to rush the intimacy with Jhanvi and want to give her the space she needs to accept me fully, I still can’t control myself from having her a little.

“She can come here any moment.”

“Oh.”

I steal a quick kiss from her and she doesn't mind. This time the call on my mobile disturbs us and I groan in anger before leaving Jhanvi to attend it. After speaking for a minute, I turn back to her. She’s helping pick a suit for me.

“I’ve a party to attend tonight. I want you to come along.”

Jhanvi is unsure but she agrees.

“What sort of party?”

“Just meeting and greeting people. Don’t worry, they are all out of my regular circle. Aman has other work to do so he can’t go on my behalf.”

“Stop pushing so much work on Aman.” She frowns. “Jaya needs him too.”

I know. And poor Jaya has never complained. She’s always been supportive when Aman has slogged at the office in my absence.

“Wear this suit. You look good in grey.”

She likes to see me in grey? Well then. Grey it will be henceforth. Before I can think of kissing her again, Jhanvi stops me.

“We have a lot to discuss yet, Aarav.”

That we do.Raising her arm, I kiss her fingers instead.

“Save all your concerns for tonight. We’ll sort them one by one. Now give me a final kiss for the morning so I can go to work and do it stress-free.”

She giggles when I don’t let her think but push her to the wall and take my kiss the way I need. When I am done, she cups my jaw and nips my neck. Damn hell!! It might leave a mark.

“Go now before I paint your neck and face with some more marks like this,” she warns, giving me a soft nudge to leave.

I turn to the mirror and see the reddish mark her teeth have left. Jhanvi is good at doing that. She’s always been good at everything she does to my body. I hide the mark with my shirt collar and then grabbing the suit from the bed, I make my way to the door.

Happy days are back! I can feel it.!!
