“Are you even listening to yourself, Jhanvi? Why is it bothering you if I ignore you, don’t talk to you or don’t sleep beside you or don’t call you Jaan?”

Her eyes dip to my lips for the briefest of moments before she speaks.

“I can't bear your ignorance, Aarav. I want your attention... I need your possessiveness. Because I know you are doing this on purpose. You can never divorce me. You can’t even think of it, you love me that much.”

“Yes, I love you that much. I do. OnlyIdo. Whereas look at you.” I give her a rough shake in anger. “You didn’t even think twice before getting engaged to someone else.”

“I didn’t get engaged to Rudra,” she snaps.

I freeze. She didn’t?? Jhanvi cups my face. Everything stops around us like we are in a transparent bubble that only we can feel.

“I didn’t get engaged to Rudra. I just wanted to push you away using this excuse so I lied. I lied to you. That secret party we held in Rudra’s Villa was for business reasons. I bought that ring and wore it myself. I never got engaged. I couldn’t-”

The moment she affirms me this I latch my lips on hers for a passionate and demanding kiss. The next thing I know is that she is pulling me against her. Our lips fuse, tongues lash against each other and soft moans fall back from her lips as I suck them while pressing my body to her. I am on fire. She didn’t get engaged. It was a sham. I knew it. Memories or no memories, she can never love anybody else as she is mine & only mine. I’m so proud of her. So damn much that I want to take her right here in every possible way. Jhanvi shows a similar interest but I suddenly recall that only knowing she never got engaged was not my motive. The real problem was her desire to fly to New York, away from me.

As if Jhanvi senses me pulling away, she doesn't let me do so. Stroking my cheeks, she swipes her tongue on my lips, adding a few more words that blow my mind.

“I’m not going anywhere, Aarav. I am not leaving you or Aarvi ever. I can’t do that to you..to us. I promise I am staying back forever. With you… Just you.”

She tenderly kisses all over my face and my heart literally stops beating at her promise. So eventually, Jhanvi’s heart took over her mind and she decided to return to me.Forever? Could any morning be sweeter and calmer than this? We are kissing after quite a long gap so the kiss turns into a sexy make out.

With one hand I push the bathroom door shut and it locks automatically which is the good part. The next I know is I am tearing off her nightshirt with my fingers while my teeth nip her sensitive flesh below her neck. She rewards my behavior with a pleading moan and I am tempted to continue further. With her upper body bare, I fondle her flesh, reigning her with open-mouthed kisses everywhere while she keeps a strong grip on my hair to guide us through this pleasure. My strong fingers slide on her hips to keep her steady and my body is alight with hunger, with every nerve ending electrified when the door knocks.Aarvi. That’s her. Knowing this moment is interrupted I still don’t let her go yet. Grabbing her face intensely I kiss her again until she knows we are not done. We can never be done.

“Mommy. Daddy.” Aarvi knocks on the door again.

Jhanvi pulls away from the kiss as realization dawns on her and she tries to hide her body from me. I can’t wait to get her alone again because I’ve been starving for her for two years. Not anymore. But right now, we need to stop as Aarvi is awake and she needs us. I quickly grab a bathrobe and help Jhanvi wear it to cover her upper bare body. She quickly drapes it and knots the same around her waist before heading to the door. The instant she opens it, Aarvi stares at her with sleepy eyes and then looks behind at me.

“You were helping Daddy to bathe? Why are you wearing a bathrobe, Mommy?”

Her innocent question brings another blush to Jhanvi’s face but she doesn't answer that and instead carries Aarvi in her arms.

“You woke up early sweetheart. Are you hungry?”

“Hmm..”

“Okay, let’s brush in the other bathroom until Daddy showers in this one.”

I reach them before they can escape and kiss Aarvi’s cheeks wishing her good morning and then very gently, I place a soft peck on Jhanvi’s neck too.

“Good morning, Jaan.”

An unsteady breath releases from her mouth as I openly peck her before Aarvi but our daughter doesn’t mind. She’s still in her morning daze. I know if Jhanvi doesn't walk out from here, she’s about to combust at any moment.

“Go” I whisper before I cross the lines by kissing her again before Aarvi. We are enough embarrassed already that Aarvi had to see us together in the bathroom like that. We can’t risk more. Smiling softly at me, Jhanvi takes her out and I lock myself in the bathroom to continue with my morning chores. She’s not leaving me ever. That one sentence is enough to flood my heart with more love and affection for my wife.

When I come out of the bathroom, freshly showered, I find Jhanvi standing alone at the French windows, looking outside. She’s still in that bathrobe I made her wear to hide her body. I reach her and curling my arms around her waist, I pull her back to my chest, kissing her earlobe.

“What happened? Changed your mind again?”

She turns around guiltily in the embrace of my arms to meet my eyes. I run my hand through her hair. Jhanvi earlier had wavy hair but now she’s straightened them and I still love them so much.

“I’m very sorry for not understanding your perspective, Aarav. Sorry for being so adamant and ignoring all the reasons for your overprotective and possessive outlook towards me. For causing you so much stress that resulted in your accident. I’m so sorry.”

“Sshh-” I hush her immediately latching hard my lips on hers to silence her.

It’s a feverish kiss and enough to ignite us again. But I break the kiss and grip her hair in a gentle grip before speaking to her again.

“Whatever happened wasn't your fault at all. Your memory loss wasn't in your hands. Your reactions after meeting me again were natural as you didn't remember me or our marriage. But your decision of going away from me was definitely wrong in my eyes, Jaan. But if I think from your perspective then you were just trying to find a way to solve your puzzled mind & heart. So, it’s fine. At least you are rectifying it now by staying back with me. And my accident happened due to my own negligence of overstressing & skipping meals not because of stressing about you. So, relax.”
