Then the whole room erupted into happy cheers as Ba’sh rose to his feet and swept her into his arms, kissing her in front of everyone until she had to pull back for breath.
“We can have the wedding anywhere you’d like,” he told her. “But I was thinking maybe we could do it in the gardens.”
“I always wanted a backyard wedding,” Yasmine agreed. “Though this is way more backyard than I ever pictured.”
“I’ll marry you wherever you want,” he growled. “A basement, a submarine, blasting through space in a solar-powered cloudcutter—”
“The garden is perfect,” she laughed.
Then the kids were laughing too, and joining in their embrace.
Wrapped in the arms of her very own family, Yasmine felt her heart warm and melt like chocolate.
The life ahead of them might not always be easy. But she knew they could handle the spotlight as long as they also had private moments like this one, where they could bask in their happiness and the love they shared.
