“What about the tongue one?” she asked.

“Nah. Nothing hurts as much as a Prince Albert.”

She gave me a confused look. “You don’t have a PA.”

I shuddered. “Nope. Thought about it, though. A buddy of mine got one, and it looked painful.”

“Why get that?” she asked and brushed out her hair.

“It makes sex better for some people, but others say it sucks, so I didn’t want to take the risk.”

“For the record, I’m not sure I’d like that, but I love your tongue ring.”

I smirked. “That’s because it vibrates.”

“Even your normal gauge feels nice.”

Hmm. I thought about that while Gemma went into the bathroom to blow dry her hair and do her makeup. I sat on the bed and pulled out my sketchbook. I had been drawing nothing but Gemma since we got here. I stared down at the last sketch of the two of us, and it made my heart voice its opinion again.

I shut my sketchbook, hoping to silence my thoughts, got up from the bed, and brushed myself off so there wasn’t any lint on my jeans. I walked over to the bathroom and leaned against the doorway while I watched Gemma get ready. She wore a long and flowy dress, but it left her shoulders bare. She was tanned from the time spent in the sun this week. Her hair had turned a pale pink as the color faded, but she was the most beautiful creature I had ever seen.

“I’m almost done,” she said, putting her lipstick on.

I was going to enjoy watching that color spread across my dick later.

She gave me a warning look.

“What?”

She raised an eyebrow. “Babe, stop giving me the horny face.”

“What?”

“Can you at least wait for dinner?”

I laughed. “Yeah, sweet thing, I can wait until after dinner. You ready?”

She nodded and threw her makeup back into the bag she had on the counter. She walked out of the bathroom, and we left the cabin together in my car. I put a hand on her thigh and drove us into town. It was a quick drive to the Inn.

“Oh!” she said. “You could have told me we were going to the Inn.”

“I wanted it to be a surprise. Harper spoke so highly of it.”

She put a hand on my arm. “Thank you. This was a good choice.”

We got out of the car and walked into the main entrance. We found the dining room for the restaurant and didn’t have to wait too long before they sat us at a table. The atmosphere was a little casual, and we might have been a bit overdressed, but none of that mattered when I looked at Gemma on the other side of the table.

Gemma scanned the long beer list. “Oh! They have one of our beers.”

“Which one?” I asked. I hadn’t looked at the list, just saw it was a long one, and knew Gemma would like that.

“Drakesville Lager,” she said, but she continued to pore over the menu.

I grinned at that. “That’s a solid one.”

“True. I prefer the 611 Ale or Area 267. All of which are our core pours.”

“Look at you, little marketing director,” I teased.
