My future father-in-law nodded his head in approval. I believe he was satisfied that we were on the same accord when it came to his daughter. I was no fool. I knew he wanted this meeting to feel me out.
“Well, let me get out of your hair. I’m sure you have a ton of work to do. Thanks for taking the time out to see me.”
“Anytime, Mr. Baldwin. We’re family, now.”
“Indeed we are.”
As I walked Mr. Baldwin out of the office, I noticed Zelda hanging around. She had no reason to be in this area, as her desk was on the other side of the building. I hoped the bitch wasn’t trying to start some shit again. Brazen had already made herself very clear. I would not interfere if shit popped off between them.
As Mr. Baldwin left the building, I saw Brazen entering. She greeted her father with a kiss on the cheek and then made her way to me. The smile on her face caused an ache in my chest. I loved that she looked at me like I was the most important man in the world. Keeping in mind that I was at work, I greeted her with a kiss on the cheek. She looked a bit disappointed, but then it looked like it clicked. I didn’t like my employees in my personal business. They were there to do a job and nothing more.
“Hello, Mr. DeLuca. How are you doing?”
“Better since you arrived. Come on in my office. I need to wrap a couple of things up, and then I’m all yours.”
She followed me into my office where I shut and locked the door. I took her in my arms and devoured her beautiful mouth. She had this glossy stuff on them that made them look delectable. I needed to see for myself how delicious she tasted. I have never been this crazy for a woman in my life, but Brazen had me on edge.
I ended the kiss but refused to allow her to pull away from me. Holding her around the waist, I looked into her chocolate eyes and saw my future. I smiled at the thought that this woman would one day bare my children and make my life better.
“That was some kiss. Did you miss me?”
“Do you have to ask?”
“I missed you too.”
“Are you ready for your tour?”
Brazen leaned in closer and whispered in my ear like she didn’t want anyone to overhear what she was saying. I found it odd since we were alone.
“I am, as long as it doesn’t include any of your former trysts spying on us like Zelda seems to be doing.”
“You saw that too?” I whispered back.
“Her eyes never left us. There is something about that chick, and it has nothing to do with the fact that you fucked her. Something about her is setting off my radar. I always listen to my gut, Nicolo. You need to watch that one.”
