“Damn, you look nice,” he says with a grin.

“Thank you, you don’t look so bad yourself. Hot date?”

“That’s the plan,” he says, smile widening.

Davey pulls into the driveway.

“Well, I’ll let you get going onyourhot date,” he says with a smirk.

I give his shoulder a playful shove. “Have fun, Ace.”

“Yeah, you too.” He gives me a kiss on the cheek, waves at Davey, and heads back toward his house.

Davey climbs out of his car looking sexy as hell. And mature. Grown up. He looks adult sexy, not teenager sexy. He’s wearing beige pants, simple black loafer sneakers, and a maroon sweater that brings out the red in his hair. I can’t take my eyes off him.

He strolls over to the porch, takes me in, and wraps his arms around my waist before giving me a fiery kiss.

“You look gorgeous,” he says with a grin.

“You look…fucking sexy,” I say with a laugh.

He wiggles his eyebrows at me. “Well, on the chance that this might be a…specialnight, I wanted to do it up right. I made reservations at that swanky steakhouse Sarah loves, and since my parents are conveniently going to be at a fundraiser uptown until the wee hours of the morning, I might’ve done some nice things to my room, too.”

I cock an eyebrow at him and smile. “Well, let’s go, then.”

There’s a honk and we turn to see Aaron waving from his truck. We both wave back.

“He off on a hot date, too?”

“Seemed to be,” I say, but I’m not thinking about that. I’m thinking about how hot Davey looks in this outfit and how much hotter he’ll look without it.

Oh, I am so bad.

Okay, not that bad.

But a little bad.

And frisky.

I feel very frisky right now.

And I don’t think this date is going to tame that feeling at all.

The swanky steakhouse that Sarah recommended was incredible. We had an awesome time, but all I can think about as he unlocks his front door and leads me up to his room is what kind of incredible time we might have next.

When we get to his door, he slides off my coat and hangs it on a hook outside his room, along with my purse. We both slide off our shoes, then he steps in front of me.

“Close your eyes,” he says sweetly.

I do as he asks, and he takes my hand. I hear his door swing open and he slowly pulls me into his room. I hear the door close behind us and then he says, “Okay, open them.”

I open my eyes to see the room lined with fake candles and lanterns, the soft light illuminating the entire room with a beautiful glow.

“Davey, this is beautiful.”

He smiles softly at me. “It doesn’t mean we have to do anything you don’twantto do.”

“Oh,” I say, bringing my hands to his chest, “but there’s so much I want to do.”
