“If they bring the whole thing down, it will be okay. I’m
happy. This is going to be the best Christmas ever.”
“Until next year.”
“And the year after.”
“And the year after that.”
“Kind of like the tree.”
“Yup.”
“Why don’t we leave that for an hour and go upstairs?”
“For present wrapping?” Quinn asked, but then she turned
and look at Dallas. “Oh,” she whispered and giggled as her
cheeks turned pink. “Oh. Not to wrap presents.”
“I was thinking about unwrapping something, actually.”
“Hopefully it’s me and not some gift you got at work.”
“It’s definitely you.” Dallas dropped a kiss onto Quinn’s
lips.
They managed to make it all the way up the stairs and
halfway down the hallway before they finished unwrapping
each other. As Dallas led Quinn into the bedroom, she knew
that she was beyond blessed. Quinn was the best gift she could
ask for and she was lucky enough to have her every single day
of the year, not just at Christmas.
