Epilogue – Delilah

“That’s right, baby.” Every thrust pushes me deeper into the mattress and closer to the headboard. I throw my arms out, palms against the carved wood. It’s both a way of pushing back against him and making sure I don’t end up with a concussion. “Take my cock. Come on it before I come on you.”

The man knows how to do things to me with that mouth of his. His words pour fuel over the fire he already set thanks to his fingers, his tongue, his dick. I turn my head to look at him over my shoulder and he leans down, wrapping a hand around my jaw to hold me in place while thrusting his tongue between my lips.

I’m helpless against him. I don’t want it any other way.

He pumps harder, faster, and I push back for every thrust until we’re both moving frantically, desperate to get to the end. Hearing him come apart is like magic, pushing me to the edge and over it. I scream into his mouth when I come for the third time since waking up a little while ago.

He pulls out with a grunt before covering my back with his cum. I lie still, sighing happily. Contentedly. Everybody should know what it’s like to wake up to this. I can’t remember life being any other way now.

All it took was three months of being fucked mercilessly to wipe out the memories of my old life.

Well, not completely. There are things I’ll never forget. Day by day, though, those memories fade a little. Part of me, but not all of me. Not by a long shot.

The tough of a washcloth against my back rouses me from the blissful drowsiness I sank into. “Mm… so that’s what today’s big surprise was?” I ask with a giggle. “Because it’s not like we’ve never done that before.”

Last night, it was all he could talk about. He has a surprise for me—and Deanna, too, which means our insane, rabbit-like-fucking had nothing to do with it.

She’s staying in the guest room as she’s been since she sold the apartment. I understand her never wanting to go back there. I’d feel the same way. It hurt to let go of that little bit of independence, but she took a realistic, mature attitude toward it. “It’s a symbol of everything that happened before, like the work I used to do. I don’t want to hang onto that. I want to build something fresh.”

Now, she has a little money in the bank again, and all the time she needs to decide where she wants to go. That’s just another gift Luca has granted me. Knowing she doesn’t have to make a rash decision, like jumping out of a burning building into unknown dangers below. The way our lives were for so long. She gets to decide for herself, on her own time.

I can’t pretend it isn’t a gift having her here. We can be sisters again, can get to know each other again. No long spans of time without a word from her because she knows her boyfriend won’t like us talking. We’re never going back there again, not ever.

Thanks to the man now nuzzling my neck. “No, today’s surprise comes in a little bit. Once we’re cleaned up, we’ll head out. Deanna, too.”

I can’t imagine what this could be. I know he wouldn’t overstep boundaries and buy a place for her—she’s already said she doesn’t want that, and I made sure he took her seriously. She wants to make her own choices, the way I do. With that option out of play, I can’t imagine what else Luca might have in store.

Anticipation gets me out of bed on shaky legs. I take a quick shower and get dressed before finger-styling my hair. It’s growing back quickly, but I don’t think I’ll ever let it grow that long again. There’s enough for Luca to take a handful and hold me in place while he fucks me relentlessly from behind, the way he did earlier. That’s enough for right now.

Deanna is downstairs, hanging out in the kitchen with Nora and Vincent. I love hearing her laugh, and she’s doing a lot of that now. Vincent knows just what to say to crack her up. If I didn’t know better, I’d think he likes her, but I think he just enjoys the attention.

“Finally. I didn’t think you guys would ever come down.” My sister exchanges a glance with Vincent, who rolls his eyes and pretends to gag.

Luca smacks him upside the back of the head as he walks past. “Do me a favor and don’t pretend you haven’t stuck your dick in half the women in the city.”

“And in Europe. Don’t forget that.” He winks at Deanna and me, and all we do is scoff.

“Something to aspire to.” Nora shakes her head, but she’s fighting off a smile as she plates up french toast for Luca and me.

“Hurry up, would you? I barely got a wink of sleep last night, wondering what the big surprise is.” Deanna doesn’t notice the look Luca and Vincent exchange, but I do. So Vincent knows about it, too, whatever it is. That still doesn’t help me get any closer to figuring this out.

“I’m eating as fast as I can,” I tell her between bites.

“Trust me, it’s worth the wait.” There’s something in Vincent’s voice I haven’t heard in a long time. Something flat, dangerous. There’s no laughter there. No teasing. I exchange a glance with Deanna, but all she can do is shrug. She’s not as familiar with him as I am.

It doesn’t take long for us to finish eating. Nora hurries us along. “Go on, then. Don’t keep your surprise waiting.” She has to be one of the sweetest surprises in this entire situation. Deanna has already confessed during one of our late-night talks that Nora feels more like a mother than our mom did, especially toward the end of her life. I can only agree. And now that I know I’m not going anywhere, that the Brunos will always be part of my life so long as Luca is, I’m not so hesitant about building a relationship with her. There isn’t the threat of having to leave hanging over my head anymore.

Especially since I have absolutely no intention of ever letting Luca get away—and I know he feels the same.

“I guess we’ll head out.” Luca takes me by the hand. “You want to ride with us?” he asks his brother.

“Oh? You’re coming, too?” Deanna taps her chin, looking him up and down. “What the hell is this all about?”

“Sure, I’ll go with you.” He winks at Deanna, shrugging. “You’ll just have to wait and see.”

“It shouldn’t be more than a fifteen, twenty-minute drive.” Luca’s practically bursting out of his skin. I don’t think I’ve ever seen him like this. Whatever it is, it’s going to be good.
