“Uh, well, I started it for a variety of reasons, but mainly because I have a passion for technology and computer science. I’m in my element when I get to code apps and websites. It’s something that comes easily to me, and it never gets boring. I could spend hours getting lost in code and never complain; it truly is my happy place. It reminds me of where I come from and how far I’ve made it.” At this point, I’m smiling like a goofball talking about the company.

“Looks like I’m not the only one who is passionate about what I do. I see a fire in your eyes telling me that you always strive to be the best. It’s admirable.” Was that a compliment I just heard? “Where exactly is it that you come from?”

“Right here is home for me,” I say, leaning back in my chair.

“Star of India is your home? Hmm, looks... cozy,” he teasingly says. I can’t control the laugh that belts out of me. I wasn’t expecting him to crack a joke, but it’s kind of nice. His sense of humor reminds me of Rian’s playful ways, which makes me think about how he would fit in with the guys.

“Yes, you’re actually sitting on my bed right now, so if you could just move, I’d like to take a nap now.” I throw right back at him.

His eyebrows arch as a cocky grin spreads across his face. “Luring me to your bed already, Lya? At least take me on a date first.” He gasps, pretending to be shocked.

Heat rises to my cheeks as I look away from his intent gaze. “Although I’m here enough for it to be by home, I meant the West Side is home for me. I grew up here and left when I went to Craibridge University. I’m not over here much, usually just to visit my friend and eat her amazing food.”

“No family to visit?” His tone is questioning, but filled with curiosity.

Sadness fills my voice as I think about my sister. “Not anymore. My mom still lives here on the West Side somewhere, but she only calls me when she needs money. She never really was a great mom in the first place, but once she got into drugs it went downhill from there, completely deteriorating any relationship we had.”

He nods, as his gaze softens from what feels like understanding. “My family kind of sucks too, so I understand that. My dad was an asshole growing up. Nothing I ever did was good enough for that man.”

This conversation turned dark, real quick. Not wanting to talk about this anymore, I try to lighten the mood. Lifting my glass, I jokingly say, “Cheers to crappy parents!” He gives me a soft chuckle back as he clinks his glass to mine.

Our conversation flows back and forth for the next hour and I don’t even realize how much time has gone by. Greyson ordered his food halfway through our conversation as I was impressively wolfing mine down.

“Who do we have here?” I hear Tara purr seductively as the question rolls from her perfect plump lips.

I snap my head in her direction just as I see Greyson’s gaze meet hers. He stands as he extends his hand. “Greyson Nash. I’m a friend of Lya’s.”Friend? Ehh, I’m not sure about that. Someone I wouldn’t mind ripping my clothes off for? Definitely.

“Greyson, this is my best friend, Tara.” Shifting my attention back to her, I state, “Greyson has hired VPAC to create an app for his dating site called Love in Sight.”

Tara’s eyebrows raise as she glances back and forth between us. “A dating site, huh? Are you on that site yourself,Greyson?” She’s basically panting at this point.

“No, I’m not. I figure it’s probably not good to mix business with pleasure, so I stay off of the site.”So you don’t like to mix business with pleasure? What do you call your unashamed flirting with me?

“Dang, I would definitely give your site a try if I had the chance to find someone like you on there.” She eye fucks him with no hint of shame in her voice. That’s one thing about Tara, she has never really had a filter or been afraid to say what she’s thinking.

“You should still give it a shot. A beautiful woman like you would have no problem finding respectable matches that are a perfect fit for you.” He says all businesslike, like it’s a line he’s got memorized and ready to go.I’m not sure respectable men are what Tara’s into.I might be the one with three guys, but Tara is the true freak in the bedroom. Her sexy curves in all the right places, raven hair that tumbles down her back, gorgeous bronze skin, and piercing green eyes lure in every man that she encounters.

“Hmm. I’ll keep that in mind. Well Greyson, it was nice to meet you. If you’ll excuse me, I have to go check on a few things in the kitchen.” She slowly backs away, giving me a look that lets me know she wants every detail about Greyson Nash.

“Nice to meet you as well, Tara.” As Tara heads back into the kitchen, Greyson turns his attention back to me. “I should be going, I don’t want to take up too much more of your time. Walk me out?” He tilts his head towards the door while he asks the question.

“Sure. Let me grab my jacket first.” I fall in line behind Greyson as we pay and head out the door. The cool fresh air hits my face, waking me up from the deep thoughts I’ve had rolling around my head since Greyson arrived.

“I’m glad I ran into you today. It was nice to get to know you a little better,” he says while turning to face me.

“Definitely. Sometimes the meeting room can be a stuffy place, so getting to know you on a more personal level outside of the office was... informative.”

His eyes slowly drift to my lips before they head back up to meet my gaze. His tongue peeks out, rubbing over his bottom lip.

My throat bobs up and down as I gulp. “We should have your general plan and design done sometime next week. Once we do, we’ll have you come in to review the contracts, then we will proceed from there.” He nods, still looking at me intently. “Uh well, it was good to see you again. Have a nice weekend.”

I pivot on my heel to head back inside as I hear him say, “You too.”

I only get two steps away when I feel a strong hand grip my upper arm, pulling me back around. Greyson leans in as if he is going to kiss me. Every part of my body feels something towards him.Attraction, arousal, apprehension—I’m honestly not sure which one it is. As he gets closer to my lips, I finally snap out of it and put my hand on his chest, stopping his movement. This has gone too far. I can’t do this to the men that love me, the men that I love. They are okay with just the three of them, but this might hurt them if I do it without their permission.

“I’m taken,” are the only words I can manage to blurt out. What looks like a pang of jealousy shoots through his eyes as his nostrils flare. He quickly cools his expression.

“I’m sorry, I didn’t realize you were with anyone.” His tone gives away the discomfort he’s feeling.
