“I’d watch it, mister. This mouth won’t be doing anything later if you keep that up.” I playfully push him.

“Meu amor, you know I’m playing. Don’t punish me for what we were all thinking,” he chuckles with the cockiest grin on his face.

“Mhm sure.” I swipe a piece of bacon off the plate before Zep can snatch it from me.

“Between you and Thi, we aren’t going to have any bacon left,” he jokes, but there’s a serious tone to his voice. Zep takes his bacon consumption very seriously. That man would live off of it if we let him.

“Alright, alright, I’ll back away, Sergeant Cunningham. I’d hate to eat all of the bacon before you’ve had any.” I press a kiss to his cheek, quickly rushing over to Rian before Zep has a chance to smack my ass with the spatula.

“What are you up to, baby?” I lean into him as he looks over at me. He leans back in his chair and wraps one arm around my waist. The warmth from his palm on my hip makes me snuggle deeper into his side.

“I was trying to see if I could recover the missing feed. Whoever had it erased knew what they were doing, but I’m going to keep trying. We have a solid security system so someone had to get close enough or be an expert to bypass the firewall protection.”

I place my hand on the top of his laptop, slowly closing it. “We can figure it out later. Take a break and relax with me.” I can see the conflict in his eyes. He doesn’t want to let it go but he wants to spend time with me. I see the exhaustion building behind his eyes.

“I guess I can take a break for you, baby girl.” He grins, pulling me closer as he kisses my temple. For the first time since the garage incident, I feel myself relaxing. All it takes is these three to make me calm. The fire burning inside of me subdues when they’re around me.

Zep lets us know the food is done and I reluctantly pull away from Rian’s embrace, making my way over to the food. I pile bacon, eggs, and pancakes on my plate. Thankfully, Zep made enough to feed an army, because I’m hungry tonight. For more than just breakfast.I lick my lips as a moan escapes from my throat.

All of the guys stop what they’re doing and stare at me. “What? You all know how much I love breakfast food!” I might have been moaning for another reason, but their egos are big enough as it is. They don’t need to know that I just imagined all three of them taking me right here on the table.

I figure now is the best time to ask about Greyson since we’re all together and things have calmed down a bit. “So what did you guys think of Greyson? I know you didn’t spend much time with him, but you’re all pretty quick to get a read on people so I’m sure you’ve already formed your opinions.”

Rian is the first one to chime in. “He seems like a bit of a tool in my opinion.” His tone isn’t playful like I’m used to, as he just gives me a shrug. I knew this wasn’t going to be easy for Rian though, it’s a lot for him to take in.

“I definitely get a hint of something I can’t quite place yet, but he wasn’t as bad as I was expecting,” Zep says casually. He didn’t say he hates him, so that’s good.

“I agree. He wasn’t the worst. We aren’t angels either, so I can’t exactly fault him for having a giant ego that steals all of the air out of the room.” Thiago tries to make a joke, but it falls flat across the table. “I’m kidding. He really isn’t that bad.”

“I don’t like him yet, but I could try to warm up to him for you,” Rian says, straight-faced, with no inflection in his voice. His eyes tell me a different story. I know he’s hurting. He loves me and wants what I want, I know that, but I can’t help but feel guilty for wanting to see how things go with Greyson.

“Gorgeous, look at me.” I break my concentration on Rian, as I follow Zep’s voice. “You know we’ll always love you. You are the reason we breathe. You are the reason we wake up every morning and keep going. Nothing you could do or say would change how deep our love runs for you. If you want to explore things with Greyson, we will stand by your side. We might not be fully on board with it yet, but if that’s what you want, we will support you.”

I feel tears start to swell behind my eyes. My shoulders visibly relax at his encouraging words. I look to Rian and Thiago, who are both nodding their heads in agreement. Okay, this is going better than expected.

“I love you all. I know there are times I don’t make things easy and I know I don’t always deserve the love you give me, but I wouldn’t want to go through this life without you three.” A tear slowly runs down my face. Thiago brings his thumb to my face, wiping it away.

“Don’t cry,meu amor, we aren’t going anywhere.”

Sniffling, I nod my head and give them a faint smile. God, why am I such a sap around them? To the world, I show no emotion—to them, I wear my heart on my sleeve. “I know. If at any time you guys have concerns or are feeling uncomfortable, you will let me know, right?”

“Of course,” they say in unison.

I roll my shoulders back and straighten my spine. “Thank you guys, for being understanding. Let me clean this up and we can all watch a movie together, okay?” They all get up and take their plates to the sink, before heading to the living room.

I know they just reassured me, but I still need some time to think through this all. I can’t deny that I feel something when it comes to Greyson, but what if it’s just infatuation? What if I mess things up with them?

I feel large hands come down on my shoulders. Without consciously thinking, I lean back into Thiago, knowing it’s him without even looking. “Lya, I can feel your tension from the other room. Tell me what you’re thinking.”

I turn in his arms, bringing my hands up to cup his face. “I know you and Zep have been through this before, bringing Rian in, but he hasn’t. I’m just nervous about how this is going to affect him. I’m also worried about you and Zep. You guys were so accepting with Rian, but what if it’s not the same way with Greyson?”

He gives the softest sigh as he leans in to gently press a kiss to my lips. I wish I could stay in this moment forever, getting lost in him. “How will you know if it’s going to be the same with Greyson, if you don’t try? You forget that Zep and I also had our concerns when it came to Rian. We didn’t just jump up and down at the idea of you bringing him in, but the more time we spent together, the more we bonded.” His gaze is serious compared to his usual casual swagger.

“Look at us now, best friends who all love the same girl and would do anything to make sure she’s happy. Don’t worry about us,meu amor. We’ll get used to it and we’ll get to know Greyson better. If we feel any way about him, we won’t hide that from you, but we won’t purposely try to make things harder for you. If things don’t work out, then that’s that. You won’t know until you explore things with him.”

My sweet Thi always knows what to say to make me feel better. “You’re right,” I say softly, still gazing into his eyes.

He leans in to give me another quick, but comforting kiss. “Now that's settled, let’s get ready for bed. I want to make my girl feel better.”
